Truthfully I like Aem.. My friend has an Injen and mine just sounds different. I love the sound my Aem makes when I'm just sitting idling.. Chirpin like a bird.

The air at in the fender liner is cooler, there's no question about it. An SRI actually sucks in hotter air than the stock intake, because the stock intake scoops air from the fender, behind the bumper, and under itself. Honestly an SRI rarely improves performance over putting a good filter onto the stock intake. Is a CAI going to be a huge improvement? No, almost definitely not a noticeable one, but its going to be a measurable HP increase over an SRI. Honestly most people who buy SRIs over CAIs are just afraid of hyrdrolock.
My NA tib is 173tq and 168whp with an SRI. Maybe it would be more with a true CAI but I've dyno tuned with one and wasn't impressed. To each their own :3_bier:

Bought ebay cai, worked amazing with both N/A & stage 2.
Bought injen SRI for winter because i had the idea of hydrolocking. Works just as well for 2x the cash.
Use Injen with modified ebay CAI in summer so the SRI looks like a legit CAI lol

It's all 2.5" pipe, then reduced to the TB. I suggest buy ebay, have it powder coated if you need it to look legit & enjoy it. They are exact AEM spec & I actually used the AEM manual to install mine lol.

i purchased one the isue is the cel light and like stated before there not made to keep that steady air flow

I don't know if its all total BS, considering there were no recorded proof of performance increase but the Injen SP SRI 'apparently' was tuned for better airflow. In addition it is very lengthy for an SRI as oppose to Weapon R for example, which is very close to the engine. I would imagine a heat-shield would be ideal for it.

I love the Injen SP SRI and the sound it makes is awesome. It might be a placebo effect but I believe there is a power boost to my car despite having no other performance mods installed as of yet.

Posi Rep for the truth. I have this and love mine, can't get any better, Case Closed

I would suggest to do some research on the material they are made of, you dont want it to be made of a material that heats up after a while cause then there is no point i the COOL air intake if cool air wont flow through it... just keep an eye on that

Either way if you're unsuccessful you can easily sell a lightly used air intake on here for close to what you paid for it. So for the slight loss you can answer your question no problem.

And I'd have to say Injen Short Ram which it practically a short ram / cold air cross because of it's longer intake more away from the engine.

It's length and width are specifically tuned to produce the same kind of resonant suction effect that equal-length, long-tube headers do, but in the other direction of course. Whether it works or not, I would say unknown.

I have the Injen CAI and love the sound and the way it looks. It's a great setup and added throttle response and acceleration along with exhaust and eventually headers on there. CAI makes all the difference and a SRI does nothing but suck in the hot air from next to the motor.

its funny im lovin all the info im gettin but ur the only person to say a preference lol
Haha hell yeah. I mean Injen is nasty too. Maybe if I had one I would prefer that. But as it is I like the Aem sound a lot more.

AEM all day because you are getting more cold air and sound dope. if you do get it and buy the per air filter to cuz of rain and mud will decrease your chance of ****ing up your filter and motor.

Had K&N lost power and Never buy oil charged filter!!!!!!!!!!!! AEM Dry filters all day every day...
