So I don't know if anyone has stumbled upon this but ATP Turbo has a T3 Turbo Merge Y-Pipe for the Tiburon GT's gee go figure. Now it looks like custom making piping has become a little less stressful.

Specs:

T3 flanged turbo merge pipe (y-pipe) for 2003 and newer Tiburon GT 2.7L engine. Allows T3 flanged turbo to be easily mounted to this engine. Testing on T3/60-1 turbo with 100% engine and factory stock cats into this merge pipe at 5psi makes over 300WHP (350 crank HP) with a free flowing exhaust system. Pipe is flanged for Tial 44mm V-Band wastegate.

Do note the bolded area :3_yes:

Yeah it's a very great price considering the only piping that would need to be done is intercooler and exhaust. And yeah I'm going GT3076R I would like to find a turbine housing that had a V-band though with the T3 connection. I'm having a tough time lol!

thats kinda a restrictive pipe cause look how the front header bolts up no bend it just pushes exhaust pressure towards the rear header.

Just sent an email off to ATP hopefully they'll have install pictures since I requested them stay tuned but from the looks of things the turbo will be facing forward instead of the side like we're all use to seeing. Only disadvantage to this up pipe is the location of the wastegate it's going to be a tough location to get to since it's closer to the underside of the car.

the front and rear headers are like this in the manifold front >----<rear they dead head each other which isnt good exhaust flow you want them to be curving towards the turbo

Good find Adam! Gives me hope on actually starting to do this turbo build ive been talking about for a year now. Remember, I dont graduate till Jan so I can always get the guys in fab class to make some custom pipes and what not.

Thanks guys I'm just awaiting my next paycheck at the moment along with an email confirmation back from ATP. Going to run a v-band flange on the y-pipe instead of the t3 this will male clearance issues with a bigger turbo none existent since the turbo can be rotated up or down. Stay tuned everyone!!

This bolts up to stock headers with cats but take your stock headers to a exhaust shop cut off the cats and have them weld a pipe so it's free flowing. Also this would be easy to build a kit now buy a cheap eBay kit replace the cheap parts that would blow easy with good stuff just use piping and turbo if the turbo is a good brand and you have a good kit for a lip less or the price of duffers kit which he stopped making since something happened to his welder.
