I agree, but I am buying a used hood painted the exact same as Rick's and it already has the holes drilled in it.

If you've ever seen the result of a hood latch going on a CF or FG hood at 100MPH you would do something to prevent it. If you had the oportunity to protect yourself and didn't, because you simply didn't like the way they looked. Well...that's just foolish.

That has absoulutely nothing to do with it, and you know it. We're talking about an aftermarket hood. We're not comparing an over priced, over rated Euro car to an efficiently produced, affordable Asian car.

I guess we're comparing cheap carbon fiber hoods with poor fitment and ricey hood pins on economy sports cars to perfect-fitment hoods without ricey hood pins and no latch problems on a sports sedan that handles like a roadster.
