Burning Oil?

I have a 2003 v4 with 152k on it. I know the first 2 owners and they said it's been "burning oil" since the car was brand new. Im not sure why but Id like to know/get it fixed. It burns about a quart, maybe a little more, every 3k miles or so. Any ideas what it could be?

Engine wear at 152k could be causing it to burn oil. Just keep the oil full whist driving and drive it until you can afford a new vehicle. It may just be worn cylinder walls opening up the ring gaps and allowing oil into the cylinder

The first thing to check are your gaskets: valve cover, oil pan, and the dreaded rear main seal. If those are not leaking change your spark plugs and check for oil burn discoloration. If that is not it then check exhaust for oil smell or smoking when running. If that is not it then check radiator fluid for oil mixing. If that is not it ..... I am out of ideas
