I am highly interested..is there only 5 slots or can you get more made at this price? I am definately in once this goes live.

unlimeted number available....5 is minimum.......but one lucky person may be able to get a set immediately if they are willing to submit a before and after dyno run.....hopefully a car with I/H/E

I can do the before and after run considering that I work at a performance shop and I have a dyno to use at my disposal when ever I need it for FREE. Also I am still wondering if these cams are fresh cores or regrinds?

ah crap gota leave for work gona be late... lol

these are re-grinds...........we curently do not have any fresh cores anywhere

A couple of questions....

1) Any disadvantage to regrinds? durability, wear, etc.

2) How did REAL get around your vehicle immobilzer? I'm canadian.

3) What will be the form of payment (Paypal, Visa, AMEX etc..) and to who (Supertib or REAL)?

Thanks.

regrinds are fine......no real disadvantage so far......

you must send me your serial # printed on the ecu case, with that we can deal with immobilizer, but we need the rom ID first

paypal to REAL

Thanks for he blistering fast response! Seems how REAL is the sponsor, will Rick be posting up on here or will this be in the member group buy?

well Rick and Kyle spent alot of time and money coming to tune my car, so I am helping them market thier cams, and since i am the only person with these cams i can likely offer the most information......I work on a computer every day and its easy for me to keep cosistant updates, and with my help i will try to keep REAL in closer touch with the North American market........they are going to be releasing a self tuner module very soon, which will work in conjuntion with the Type R module......so we will have unlimited tuning options with our cars........I expect to see our HP numbers go up dramatically

If I had the H/E and access to the dyno I would definately be the first on the bandwagon...I am in...I can tell you that much...H/E will be coming in less than a month...any projected date on these? I got in on the mysterious eyeline GB that REAL is producing...still nothing out of that...so I dont want to spend 1.3k on something and have to wait 3 months like I am now....just hate having money in limbo you know?

Actually I'm quite happy your heading this up as your the only person who has any experience with these cams. What I would like to see before I Paypal this kind of money though, is just a confirmation from Rick that he agrees with whats going on. Or a email informing us that you are an official agent for Real. Please don't get me wrong, I do trust in what you've been saying and I am extremely happy that your tuned and we now have an opportunity to purchase these. I just would like to see the lines of responsibility very clear. It could avoid any issues later.

I'm also waiting to see what your doing for the intake. You metioned last week (I think) that your working on a new intake (CF), it would be nice to have some alternative with shorter runner or no upper runners.

is $800 a reasonable price for installing all of this? the shop is real good at what they do but when they told me that i thought it was a lil crazy. thanx

If he quoted 5-6hr install time, the hyundai shop here only charges $35/hr...so I would take it to them...$300 as opposed to $800...plus as I have stated before if Hyundai's mechanic screws it up I can sue them...if a shop like the one you speak of screws up they COULD go under and leave you with your d!ck in your hand...just my .02

hmmm ok yeah that is what it thought. i knew it was only a 6-7 hour install. they said it was going to take them something like 12 hours. guess i will head over to hyundia.

Obviously your hyundai could be cheaper/more expensive...but I know they charged me 2hrs for my STS install and 1hr for my pulley install...I doubt it took em that long..but I do know the STS can be a PITA...and the pulley is a ton easier...which is weird...I figured it would have been the other way around...I do know that it cost me around $90-ish for 3hrs of labor at my local Hyundai dealership...they actually drove my car afterward just to make sure everything was cool and talked to me a bit about the mods...pretty sweet :)

i got a quote at the shop i go to for around ~350 +/- 50.. I also contacted my local hyundai dealer and i am waiting for a price. I am 97% sure that i will take this route, but i don't want to be the 2nd one to have these....

Well i did this job 3 different times........trying different cams.............and its not that bad once you dig into it..........I would say $250-$350 is fair...but no more.....

one word of advice i have is to remove your engine covers before you go to the shop.....as without the engine covers they can see everything, and this car is not hard to work on.....but with the covers it looks alot more advanced then it really is........even remove the side covers.....I guarantee you will get a much better quoate if your engine is bare........

Anyways this motor is pretty simple to work on, the engine bay has alot of room in it, and the cams are pretty simple, there is no V-tec or anything...........but unfortunately with the covers on a mechanic looks at the enguine and assumes the worst, and gives you a high price to cover his ass in case it takes alot of time......anyways I hope this helps
