Well I have a budget, looking for something preferably under 700 and has to be a dual exhaust, dont want single. I got a 03 GT and so far I'm looking at Borla and DC Sports. Those two how up in my price range, but am wondering if anyone knows of others ? also does anyone here own a borla or dc sports? any comment about them? i read on amazon the borla is cheap built and the dc sports i know nothing about and can only found one video on it on youtube. If anyone has references such as owning one, or links to video etc it would be much appreciated! I also saw some ebay catbacks such as the obx and D5 concepts and they sound great but I heard ebay catbacks are a disaster after a couple of winters with rusting and what not so what sould i do?

I'd go with Will's products! ;) But.. as far as OBX goes, my buddy Lashes09 has one installed and I gotta say it sounds pretty good! Was an easy install and he got his used and it still looks great! But.. good luck to ya! I'd say go Ark Dual Catback if you can manage to save up more money. I have one installed and I am EXTREMELY satisfied! :3_bier:

im just not willing to spend more than the budget cause i could whip up some more but anyway how long has he had the obx?

I spent $600< for an Apex 1 dual exhaust last summer on AutoCityImports, I think. I love the sound, no droning (had two Super 44's before) thanks to the giant resonator. It has limited bends, 3" piping, under axel, with a nice Y-pipe compared to stock. Couple that with an AEM CAI and it is one hell of a sound when I hammer down. I opted out of any OBX. Had there headers for two years before finally finding a buyer due to the O2 bung drilled into wrong side... No more eBay crap for my car... One thing though, check out this thread about the exhaust. There is a right way and a wrong way to install the resonator. Clearance is relatively unaffected when installed with hanger welding on top of resonator. Garage said that was wrong, had to take car else where, pissed off, to have corrected. He also figured that out. It's a great catback.

To me if there is a good shop near you custom is the way to go. A lot of times it ends up being a little cheaper depending on what mufflers you go with.
My custom single cost me like 250 for everything, I got the muffler and resonator second hand, but wouldn't be all that much more to buy new.
Also the shop I went to had a 5 year warranty on the tubing, wouldn't rust or anything like that (although I live in Texas...)

Just something else to think about..
