I'm LOST+Confused+Desperate+still on college student budge aKa Broke
drove from Buffalo to Queens,NY
1st the Malfunction Indicator Light was on....friend told me to put coolant....after putting it Malfunction Indicator Light is off
then i find out the transmission wouldn't get out of Park until i forcefully did pushed it to Neutral or Reverse....it wouldn't go on Drive {car did reverse}
struggled to put the car back on park....(it's place on there but the 'P' isn't displaying on Trans axle Position Indicator Light)...even struggled to get the key out
now my car won't start the following 4 indicator lights are on....help

All those lights are on because you haven't started the car. Like if you just put the key in the ON position, those lights would be on. The transaxle range switch will only allow you to start the car in park or neutral. Since your having trouble getting it in park that's probably why it won't start. Try shifting to neutral and then try and start it.

lets say if i can't start it on neutral....what then?

Did the stiftness of the gear selector become progressly worse over time?

Have a read through this page of the manual. Sorry I can't be of more help. My tib is a 5speed

so it turned out something around the transmission/battery was tight so my friend used a flat head to loosen it
now car go on Drive or Park
