$50 judged-showfield - includes 2 passes for both days and you are part of the show. you will park with the other judged show cars. again, under club other put "NewTiburon.com"

if you just wanna go to look around and arent taking your car, you just pay day of.....hope that clears some things up

Guys this is an awesome event. They have a burnout and bikini contest Saturday night. Lowest car and truck contest. HUGE venue! Biggest car club turnout. I wanna try to win this one guys. They also have a prize for coolest club hangout. We can bring tents, grills, etc...They also have deals on tent rentals/free tents based on number of pre-reg members.

If we have enough people needing hotels, I can work on gettin group rates. But they fill FAST for any event in Carlisle and we'll prob get something about 15-20 min outside Carlisle to save money. I live about 30 min from there and used to work 5 min from the fairgrounds, so im familiar with the area and if anyone wants to go both days we can go out sat night and/or sun afternoon.

ok guys, im still working on group rates for a hotel. sorry its taking so long, but without being able to give them a number of rooms/ppl, they arent giving me rates, or are giving me ballparks that arent much of a discount. i have a few more leads tho, so hang tight.

im the meantime, Will asked for a nicer hotel with amenities, so here are a few local(ish) ones

Harrisburg Hilton - Harrisburg, Pa (about 23 miles from Carlisle)
pricey yes, but they have pretty much everything you will want. it is downtown Harrisburg, so nightlife is right out the front door. NO space for trailer tho :(

Country Inn and Suites - Mechanicsburg, Pa (about 15 miles)
they have a pool....not as expensive as the hilton. quieter location. should have trailer parking. looks very nice

Country inn and Suites - Carlisle, Pa
again an indoor pool and fitness center. would assume trailer parking is available. however, ANYTHING IN CARLISLE MUST BE BOOKED ASAP!

Hotel Carlisle - Carlisle, Pa
VERY nice! pool, billiard room. i would assume expensive. Again in Carlisle, so book early. call about trailer parking

Comfort Inn - Mechanicsburg, pa - (15ish miles)
basic motel. have space for trailers. would feel safe parking there. I've stayed here before. nothing special, but its nice.

if you guys wanna look more on your own, look for Carlisle, Mechanicsburg, Harrisburg, New Cumberland...rates will get cheaper as you go thru that list, you will also be farther away. But new cumberland is only like 20 mins...

I know my Delta guys will be there. Ashley gets her bday drinks!

Hey LiquisFire,

Patrick from the Carlisle Events team here (I just joined the forum) and i wanted to thank you for thinking about Carlisle way in advance and let everyone else know that we would love to have a huge presence from NewTiburon.com this year! If there is anything I can do to help with the planning, let me know (email address in profile or message me).

Very sad turnout from the tiburon community last yr- 2010. I only remember seeing 5 tibs and and two genesis. I know alot of tibs were ther in 2009 and a riced out crappy accent took first. I wont be there this yr since the grandfather rule is supposed to be in effect and I lucked out beating mikes genesis for first. I ran into platinumtiburon forget his name and he sold his tib but was just at the show last yr as a spectator. He said he showed back in the 04-05ish era and didnt even place and he had a very imprssive fully modified dark blue tiburon if anybody remembers. Goes to show you how the turnout and competition was back in the day when the tuner scene was still huge.

Yea the few times I was there recently there were less than 10 tibs. This year our class is Tibs and Gens. So I'm thinkin someone, if not a few here could take home some awards. i didnt see anything on the site about a stereo comp this year...normally they have one. I'll email Patrick unless he chimes in here before i do so. I wanna see what mine hits now with the new HU and amp :)

Finchie - even tho you cant win again, you can still come in the fun field and chill wit us. I'm assuming most of the group will prob be in the fun field. and those in the judged field are expected to come hang out at our tent, lol.

i plan on havin at least 1, but would prefer 2 if not 3 tents depending on turnout. i have one i think i can get. and if we get a big enough turn out we get discounts on rentals. again, i'll get info in the next few days...

cant wait guys!

#14 ·
ok so i cant read....i found my answer to the tent question. if we get 25 people to register under NewTiburon.com, we get a free 20'x20' tent.

so thats our minimum goal everyone. 25 people and a free tent! i know we can do it!

#15 ·
hello and nice to meet you all....... i was hoping there were more of us tibby owners in pa, good to no im not alone :p nothing but hondas around here...and i see other people posting things about meets in the poconos and the carlisle meet on may 14/15 i would deff. like to roll.....

#16 ·
Hoping my old tib will be there too, see if she's changed any. CKoons said a PA person bought it. But also hoping that I'll have my lift for this also.

#17 ·
Ok mike I'm down! Count me in, plan to make it for the wkend and possibly enter. Need to get my baby looking right before then. Lambo's should give me a leg up on the rest. Gonna get my car professionally detailed inside and out for this one. Car show shine I say!

#18 ·
our class is just us and gens. and like stated before, there hasnt been much presence in the past few years, at least with the tibs....so i'd say go for it! its only $10 more. the only downside is you have to park in the showfield parking and not the funfield/club parking.....your decision

and i havent seen any GK tibs there with lambos.....

#19 ·
Well damn mike since ya put it tht way, lol. Wht do I do. Be bored and possibly win an award or say **** it and hang out and chill.

#20 ·
its not like you cant chill wit us just cuz ur car is on the other side of the fairgrounds......
i mean u'd park in the showfield, but u dont have to be with your car 24/7
like i said its up to you.....if you think you have a shot, why not take it? but then again, like you said on the other hand you can save $10 and just dick off all weekend :)

#27 ·
done. hope to see you there brandon
