Interesting, mine is slipping too and it started just like that with 3rd, not 4th and 5th are slipping too, thought 3rd is by far the worst. I bet it is a pretty far stretch that this would be covered under warranty huh?

Yeah guys i only had 12,000 on my car when i had to get a new clutch and flywheel. But im sure it had nothing to do with the racing and launching i did all the time haha. Got it installed for 300 bucks.

hey has been having issues with the dual mass flywheels wearing out the clutches, and they arent recalling them here, but they are replacing the ones that have issues, odd tho cause i believe the dual mass flywheel is only in the v6, or so they said, but im having this issue in my 5speed 4cyl, also i get a "changing" release point, which sucks, that happens a lot, so neway im pushing them to get me a new clutch....ide rather just a new flywheel, whats a good clutch, thats great for "racing" but comfy for stuck in traffic?

Basically, you'll see RPMs rise but the car won't feel like it's accelerating as fast as it should...or at all if it's really bad. The RPMs will rise but the clutch won't be grabbing hard enough, or slipping, so it will only move a little bit until the clutch finally gets a hold and it will kind of catch up to the engine.

Think of it like walking on ice. You'll be moving your feet at a normal walking pace, but you'll be slipping around and not moving as fast as you would normally, until you find a patch where you can actually get a good footing or move off the ice and then start walking.

Make sense?
