I bought a 2003 Tib back in 2002 and have had it now for quite awhile. I have Just over a year left on my lease and now it seems the cops want my car.
The story on what happened was that I was at work. A good friend of mine who let me use his car years ago when I was hard pressed asked me if he could borrow my car to go pick up his daughter. He recently was pulled over for driving with no insurance so he no longer has any wheels. Well I let him borrow my car without even thinking twice about it, he was a very good friend and I didn't have any reason to think he'd do anything.
Well, that night he got pulled over with 2 ounces of cocaine in the car. The cops seized my car and now they say they won't give it back. They want me to forfeit my baby because I'm a good friend!!!!
I live in New Brunswick Canada, anyone ever hear of anything like this before? Can they do this to me? I work my ass off for my car and I've been working overtime pretty much every week because insurance company's charge rediculous prices around here (it costs me more per month in insurance than the cost of my lease) and now they want me to just lose everything. Because of the fact I don't have much money I can't even afford an attorney. Anyway I'm basicly ****ed and thought I'd post here to see if anyone has ever heard of this before since I browse this forum all the time although I rarely post.
Thanks
