Without further delay, presented in alphabetical order (as to not hurt anyone's feelings), DECEMBER CsOTM!!!
Ok, so back in December of 2002 I needed a new car to fight crime and take back the streets from wannabe thugs. The Tiburon was just the ticket, because the other cars I looked at sucked, and they were all wannabe thug cars anyways. Boomin' with the bass in the back, cruisin' in sixth with the sunroof open, those were just the tickets for schoolin' students (this was back when I was a teacher). But after the minddrudgery of teaching wore me down, I packed up, modded the car one last time (actually, make that two times), and drove to a new town. Now the car sits in the street rather than cruising the street because I don't have to drive every day and because gas is so expensive. Now the Tib picks up dust instead of chicks because I don't drive it much. And now the mods I have don't get put on the car because I don't have anywhere to work on it (by the way, changing oil on a public street while cars drive by really sucks).
Mods:
Front Strut Bar
KORE Cold Air Intake
Underdrive Pulley
17" Ronal Rims
This Car was my silverlining to a dark cloud. I bought this car because my 91 CRX SI was stolen and stripped. I put hours of work into that car, and as much money as I could afford at the time.
I havent done nearly as much work on this car as my CRX, but this is what I have done so far......
Mods:
AEM Cold Air Intake
Clear Cornered Headlight
15% Tint
Short Antenna
Glow Pedals
Blue/Clear Door Light Conversion
Rear Tuscani badge
05 door handles/Ac vent rings
Tuscani steering wheel emblem
Erebuni CF hood
LED Gill lights
Custom/Cleared tails
OEM Tuscani passenger side cup holder.
The Tiburon did not start out as a project for me. In late 03 i picked it up with the intent to leave it as it was. For haha's i wanted to see what other people had been doing with Tiburons and to see how it stacked up in the import world. Eventually I decided that I just wanted an exhaust so i set out to find one. I searched ebay and found this exhaust made by SSA, which I never bought i'm a proud Borla man. I emailed them asking if they had a sound clip. They said go to newtiburon.com to hear their exhaust. So I did, and the rest is history. I started to read up on parts that were out and in the works as well as checking out other peoples rides. I got the bug bigtime and started to mod the car. The future of my Tib is up in the air right now, but no major modifications will be done outside of appearance and handling.
Mods: Quick and dirty list. Theres a bunch of little things that i'm not gonna list that I've done custom
Current Mods: Pretty Mild
Interior: bunch of little things
Performance:
- Injen SRI
- Borla Catback
- TWM short shifter
- Front Strut Bar
- Custom Center Tie Bar
I bought my car in May of 2003. My initial intentions involved doing NOTHING to the car, except for having a decent looking daily driver with a warranty. At the time I bought this car I owned an '87 IROC Camaro as well as a 1980 El Camino SS. However, the first winter after I purchased the car, I started accumulating parts for the Tiburon. Since then it has been a never ending disease. I currently have more modifications than are worth listing, but some of the larger stuff includes:
Alpine Developments Stage 1 turbo kit
HP Design HPR5 wheels 18x
ARK single titanium catback
ViS Invader CF hood
RRM front and rear ST bars
Progress Rear Sway bar
Eibach Pro-kit springs
Rotorwerks slotted F/R rotors
Axxis pads
Xtec 6000K HIDS
Sony 10' sub powered by that wonderful Hi-Fonics 750W amp that Silverlining so kindly sent me in the first VIP Secret Santa!
Hopefully before summer I will have my new Corbeau seats , some '05 headlights, and '05 front bumper. Best thing is, I would have NONE of what I have if I hadn't found NT.com way back when.
I bought the car back in April of 2003 and had no intention to mod it in any kind of way. Roughly $4000 later I'm still not finished. I initially bought the Tiburon because of its looks, not really caring about its performance. Once I joined NT.com, I realized my Tiburon needed MORE POWER! So far I've kept her strickly N/A, but I foresee a F/I future......

I bought my car in May of 2003. It was the Silverlining in a bad time I was experiencing and unfortunately, I'm still experiencing, but this too shall pass. I had purchased the lambo doorkit, stuff to do the clear corners, a front strut bar and a new hood that was going to be airbrushed with the Angel that's in my sig. But financial difficulties changed the plan and I sold most of the parts so it's still stock, despite my livingroom looking like a autopart store for awhile. So even though the plans changed, the car has still been a gift and becoming part of the NT.com family has been a great blessing in my life. I love you all.
Me buy car.
Me mod car.
Me no own car.
Me wre... cra... bang car up.
Me fix car.
Me now have car back.
I was in search of a new daily driver so I began looking around for a simple car that will take me places. I mainly searched for car forums until I stumbled on NT around mid 2002. I loved the site right away and the car itself so I began researching it. A few months later I was a proud owner of one.
I bought my car in Jan 01 2003. My plans were simple with this car, a daily driver taking me to school and work. But I was already hooked on reading what parts are for grabs. So slowly I began doing mods to my car. Clear corners was first, exhaust, 18" rims, CAI, headers and a few more appearance mods. What was to be a daily driver soon became a somewhat modified daily driver. A few parts are off the car and some new are on but I don't care, I love the car and I love NT. Still to this day I modify my car with parts and I don't plan on stopping.
