So i have a htc evo phone and have downloaded Dynomaster, its a pretty cool little app, $4.99 to buy...

No Calibration needed, uses car weight, altitude, pressure, humidity, temp, etc... to retrieve readings...

anyways it takes ur 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, and 0-60mph readings which is pretty cool...

ive been to the track several times and ran anything from 16.4 to 17.4 when i first got, ive done a few mods since then, did a few runs with Dynomaster and best was 16.2, which sounds believable

u just turn on gps, get on the main menu, find a strip long enough for 1/4 mile, come to complete stop, hit start and reading begins on movement, it will say out loud when u have completed each and let u know when run is over so u dont have to look at it....

u can also enter the weight of ur tibby, drivetrain loss %??(still need help with what to put here but have it at 17% which might be to high). coefficient of drag??, and frontal area:sq. ft???(need help with everything but weight)....

after doing so and making ur run it will give u a base wheel horsepower and hp rating at the crank..., mine was 126whp and 152 at the crank, seems reasonable...

IPhone users- U can download Dynolicious for your phone, which is pretty much the same as this...

Another Program i found of interest is Torque for the HTC evo!

Torque is a vehicle / car performance / diagnostics tool that uses Bluetooth ELM/OBD/PLX adapters to connect to your OBD2 engine management / ECU, It can also show and reset a DTC / fault code like a scantool.

* Dyno / Dynomometer and Horsepower/HP
* 0-60 timings - see how fast your car is (or truck :))
* Massive fault code database for allowing lookup of fault codes from many different manufacturers
* Send logging information to web or email CSV/KML for analysis via excel / openoffice
* Heads up display / HUD
* GPS Speedo/Tracking - see what you were doing and your engine, at a point in time
* Turbo boost feature for vehicles that support MAP sensors
* Alarms (for example if your coolant temperature goes over 120C!)

I have not tested this program yet but when my tax return comes in, im gonna order the bluetooth adaptor and review if anyone else hasnt...

Anyways just giving a head up on these APPs, i know they work on other phones then HTC and IPhone but its hit and miss with my friends phones, so i dont know... letme know what u guys think!

My brother in law let me try the bluetooth adapter OBDII reader on my car this past weekend. Seemed quite accurate in every aspect. I was suprised my "dyno" came up to 153.2 HP. Not bad for an I4 with and I/E setup. *shrugs*
