Hey everyone, I just installed these angel eyes in my 03 tib and they are not as bright as I had expected.

Anyone else with these flyryde angel eyes have similar problems?

FlyRyde Angel Eyes fail, like the company.

As you can tell, they no longer have their website.

^^ Pretty much, wish I would have gotten the SFR ones personally =/

this is why i have been so sucessful while other companies just toss product out the door i custom build and test every kit to full standards that i would expect out of a product and use only the highest quality parts. bottom line is if i wouldn't put it on my car i won't ship it out the door. and ct tibby i just got an update on your stuff it supposedly is now enroute to me it just cleared customs yesterday

lets be realistic on the picture just because those are the stock that come with the kdm chrome lights doesn't mean all acrylic angel eyes are like that

this is an example of what well put together angel eyes are like during the day time...

Vendor battle!!

Pauly, that pic looks like it was taken in a parking garage. Do you have a pic of yours in the outdoors such as Paul does? I'd like to see the difference.

I don't drive with my headlights on when the sun is out so that's not the motivating factor to get AE's. I've been on the fence with this mod because I haven't been able to decide which kind I want to go with but I'm leaning towards the CCFL.

SFR AE's for the win!! They don't, however, come with warranties like pauly's and DD's. That's the ONLY negative in my opinion. Can't wait to get the SFR AE's next week.

Here you have AE from europe during the day... and it's not Paulys not DD not sfr not Flyride
that's what i call bright! (it's an older picture, but nevermind... )

Anyone who has seen CCFL in person will tell you they're the best... simple truth! Brighter than anything else and clean design.

Anyone can take pictures in a parking lot or "in daylight," which I guess means just before sunset, to show how bright they are. That picture I posted was taken during the summer on a cloudless day at 2:00 PM. You can check by looking at the EXIF information in the photo. Lets see some actual daylight pictures of alternatives.

I personally am a fan of SFR's over any other companies offered products. I like the design
One of yall should offer the AEs like SFR. I knw i could buy them at SFR but ive done bussiness with both of yall and would like to keep it that way. Just a thought though

It would definitely be a joy to actually design our own angel eyes similar to SFR's instead of just being a reseller like some but Pauly is the only one I know of who is truly talented in that field as R&Ding something out of nothing and coming up with something spectacular.

He sticks by the grooved Angel Eyes because they last longer than other Angel Eyes like CCFL's...etc so if he does decide to go that route and come up with, what I would consider a fancy AE, I'd stand behind him all the way because he is guy who is keen on quality.

As well, I just do not have time or the money to invest in our own designs at the moment because we are focused on a few other things at the moment; mainly expanding onto other forums like possibly Corvette forums, Camaro forums and a few other car forums to offer our LED's and HID's.

Most of our profits go towards in house stock where I can say we have over a thousand LED's and slowly building up our HID supply. Due to a crumbling economy though, we can't invest any personal money at this time into new products and are "comfortable" with our current line, at least till summer.

I'll also vouch for PJM, While the CCFLs that I used to have didn't come from Paul, they certainly were BRIGHT!. And in the early evening when the sun starts to settle down a bit, ohh man - it was pure sex. I recall driving home from work one day, nothing but my quarters and my CCFLs on, sun was going down a bit, but still enough light to see your car...turning a corner, I was met with a row of BMWs, Benzes, and Lexii sitting in a turning lane waiting to turn onto the road I just turned from, and every single one, I mean EVERY single one of those moneybags had their gaze set on my car, almost like synchronized gawking (shoulda been an olympic sport). They seriously catch attention. And I remember driving through podunk Iowa one evening coming up behind traffic, not too hard to notice a set of rings blazing behind you...by the time my car caught up to their doors, the occupants were already turning heads to see what car it was.

My only beef w/ those CCFLs (and these were some that I bought on dreamka4u.com), is that after about six months, they started turning purple on me. At first it was because it got cold, and they would start out with a purple glow before warming up to full blown white, but then one day, one of them just glowed a pinkish/purple, it sucked - I had to cut that wire and the same on the other side to keep it balanced. They weren't a very good quality. Eventually, I dumped my headlights for the F/L ones, never going back to AEs because one of the biggest peeves I dealt with in that time was heavy condensation in both lights, and to make matters worse, a long brown hair eternally baked in one of them...lol.

If I were to go back to AEs, I'd definitely try Seoulfulracing's LED AEs, only because it's different, and because of the LEDs - a lot of my exterior lighting is all LED (except for the front turn sigs, at least for now). Otherwise, I'd definitely go back to CCFL. They are certainly without question, very very bright - if you have them now, you know what I'm talking about.
