i work in a mobile electronics shop and was putting an underbody kit on a 05 cobalt ss supercharged with every performance mod imaginable. i had to leave for a few minutes so i took off outta there and gunned it outta the parking lot. i got back and the owner of the cobalt comes up to me and asks "what do you have on there, u must have a supercharger or something, then i told him that all i have is an intake made outta an superduty turbo pipe and a pair of ractive mufflers.

o and the one where they thind my system in the back is an engine.

Last, don't you guys (and girls) hate when someone asks how much your car cost? I have been asked on a couple occassions but it annoys me. I need a good comeback for this question. Anybody know any?

On a few occasions, I have walked out to my car and found people looking it over trying to figure out what it is. When they ask me: What kind of car is this? I just keep the mystery alive and tell them it is a shark...or I just smirk, say nothing and drive away. :3_pimatyo

K about 2 weeks after I bought my 06. Myself and bunch of buddies all meet up downtown. And went to the bars.. Well long story short closing time came around and I took the cops on a high speed chase. I ended up parking car after I got away from them and running. Well they got the car and called my unit and I had to go down and talk to the police the next night. Well the cop was asking me what kind of car how much I payed for it and so on. and out of no where he tells me it is a fast *** car and asked how I was able to pull away from him and how fast I ended up going... Well at the time I just wanted to laugh right in front of him but I held it toghter. It was just funny to hear this cop that i took for a chace say all these nice things about my car. When i was in some trouble..

I was driving today, I was at a light and I look to my left and theres a family in a PT Cruiser, and they are all looking and pointing, so the passenger rolls down his window and says "That's a really neat looking car, what is it?" to which I replied "More than you can afford pal, Tuscani"

But seriously, I told them it's a Hyundai and they couldnt believe it. I got a lot of stories including some chick thinking it was a Porsche, a guy in a Maserati stopping me at the gas station to ask what it was, walking out to my car and having people walking around it trying to figure out what it is. Everyone can't believe it's a Hyundai....kinda funny

I love the comments about our car. I get a bunch...

I think part of the mystery of it all has to do with the non-advertising for it.

In Canada, you never see a Tiburon commercial on TV. You never see a print ad in the paper for a Tiburon. It is usually for the Santa Fe, Tuscon, or Elantra......and the new Versathing....

Our car is truly a mystery for most.

Was driving home from work the other day during peak hour so it was damn slow and this pretty large Toyota Landcruiser steadily drove by full of kids coming home from school. I had my windows rolled down feeling the breeze and all of a sudden from above the tib I heard

"Sheesh Dad.. .look at that Ferrari"...

To which the dad slammed on brakes to look.. and he turned and said.. "Wow guys.. work hard one day and you can afford a car like that"...

So I just looked up at the kids with a smirk and told them it was a Hyundai... and then the traffic started moving..but they carried on staring and staring until they turned onto another road.

I dont know what they told their friends the next day but yeah..

Its pretty cool getting the attention, but having to correct everyone or rather educate them at times gets a bit much..

There arent a lot of GK's on the road where I am so they do tend to get a HELL of a lot attention. especially if it has ANY type of modification.

I love my GK.

Last summer I pulled up to a stop light next to some old lady, must have been in her 60's or 70's. We had our windows down and she started talking to me asking what kinda of car was that and that's she's never seen such a pretty color on a car before (mine's an Orange Crush SE) I thought it was kinda weird but she was driving an Audi S4 so she must have been some sort of car enthusist.

Was on 95 South in Jerz last summer, traffic was at a dead stop. Something starts smacking into my passenger window. Some guy got out of his car, walked up to my window on the highway and apparently couldn't go on with his life without knowing what kind of car it was that I was driving.

a while ago while I was at work I had accidentally parked in a reserved spot. So this guy who is part of the meeting that is going on comes out and askes me if I know whos silver mustang is parked in his spot. I'm just like "i don't know." I then go out to look and see that it's my silver tib parked there. so I tell him it's a tiburon and he was just like, "w/e just move it" and I go on laughing

i intentionally moded my car to get it to look more like a porsche and, surprise surprise, the most common guess is porsche. the rest see the M&S badges and guess maserati. one time some people walking down the street mistook the M&S emblem for a dodge emblem and thought i had some brand new car or prototype.
