and went 8k cuz im dumb. but i want them.

we need to have a north jersey tech day please lol, end of july? beggining of august?

what were you doing in sparta?

Honestly I would contact him directly and work the issue out before anything else .... if he gives you problems (which he wont) lemme know ;)

A few things tho on your review:

(1) - you dont need a relay kit at all. Relay kits are only required for analog/magnetic style ballast kits ..... his kit is an electronic/digital kit and you do not need a relay .... he is 100% correct by stating so.

(2) - Remember, almost all ballasts are made from one of less than a handful (thats five, count em) of companies ..... its almost garunteed that the ballast from your old eBay kit to your new one is made from the same manufacturer.

(3) - My kit which was the same 5000k H7 kit, had the rubber grommet's .... you should have contacted him.

(4) - You state that there should be a HUGE difference between 5000k and 10000k and to correct you if your wrong. Well, your kinda wrong ;) To your naked eye, its very hard to see a huge noticeable difference from the two .... its not like the night/day comparison from comparing halogens to HID's. There is a difference however mostly its on the technical side and something the naked eye is not going to catch by staring at the lights. The main/large difference that you will see is the color ..... the subtle difference that is most noticeable when doing road tests is the light output (hard to see when staring at your front end). Please read up on the differences between the temperatures of kits and you will fully understand.

(6) - Color should be white with a hue of white/purple but more white than anything. Mine kinda looks more of a white/purple hue from the drivers seat and white/blue hue from other drivers.

In the end .... I think you have an extremely isolated problem/issue and you need to contact kickxtc directly and get them rectified immediately. Electronic devices can get damaged from shipping ... this is not a new thing my friend. It was produced in China, shipped to some intermediate warehouse, than off to the US, to another warehouse, and than to your door ... things happen sometimes and thats why everything insured. Let us know what he says and what happens.

Hey croat, thanks for the response. My bad on the relay harness thing, I'll edit the review for that part and the color difference. I'm kinda calmed down now, I'm assuming it was just an incident during shipping which may of broke the ballasts or a very rare manufacturing defect (I would be the one to get that kit due to my bad luck lol).

That's weird about the rubber grommet thing, I guess my kit was just screwed from the beginning? I contacted him yesterday, haven't got a response yet but then again I don't really expect one yet since it is the weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

One more thing... did you notice that your 5000k kit gets really hot? My 10000k kit doesn't get near as hot as my 5000k kit did (As in touching the back of the metal part once it's in the fixture burns my hand on the 5000k whereas my 10000k is only slightly warm to the touch). Maybe it's normal for lower color temperatures to put out more heat? Any ideas?

Thanks,
JMan

Hmmmm ..... as far as heat, negative .... operates cooler than my halogens but not as cool as an LED. It was touchable last I checked (after running) not hot but warm like you said.

I'd just return the whole thing .... sounds like that kits jinxed :p

Hey all,

I got an email back today:

Hello,

Thank you for your email.

Some cars are designed different, thus, you may have to reverse the positive and the negative by simply pull the prongs out from the wire connector we provided and reverse it. The prongs can be pulled out by using any small pin/needle like tool.

Kindly let us know if you need any additional information.

Thank you.
Did any of you guys have to reverse the prongs?

Yeah the blue plug. How you think it goes on, try flipping it. It didn't make sence to me. The plug seemed to be ment to put on the other way. Long story short it worked.

But mine didn't work the other way. So it might not work.

Yeah guys i wanna order my fogs but now your making me second guess it

So this plug is the H7 connector right?

hmmm maybe i wont dish out another 70 for fog HIDs. Maybe I'll go with yellow vinyls or some of those yellow bulbs. I read somewhere that those yellow bulbs can melt your wires? Are they safe?
