You would have to completely rebuild the car. Frame, engine(s), no longer be fwd, some crazy transmission..

I know its ambitious either way but like i said before its gonna be a true one of a kind car and it will most likely end up being either RWD or AWD

yeah like most people that would be the case but this is one of those things that i have to do to prove to myself that it can be done thus why i posted the thread in the first place to see if anyone would be willing to input what they know mechanically its not like they're paying for it.

i dont see why you want to do it. but i'll admit that a few days ago i remembered reading about a guy that took a 2002 mirage and made it AWD and threw the EVO engine in it. Which left me thinking about the modifications necessary to turn that car into AWD and how interesting it would be to see someone do something crazy like that to a tib.

2 engines, each twin turbo. One in front and one in back. Single turbo, mid boost, you can make 350 hp in each. It's been done, so only shy of 300 hp for your goal. As many have said, getting the power is hard enough, putting it down to the ground is even harder.

 

Okay so the plan is to make a stupid fast tiburon. now the aim is 1000 whp. now i know this may be unrealistic both practically and financially because obviously you'd have to be stinking rich to get to that goal but if it works out then it will truly be a one of a kind tib. and for all of you on this site that do nothing but browse around the threads to put your useless two cents in then you are of no help and only want to make your car look nice to compensate for whatever it is that you are lacking. This is a thread to help build a tib for perfomance aspecs, this is also where the combined collective of technical and engenering prowess will be put to use. Once the car is done those who contribute towards this goal will have their name on the car. So in hypothetical terms when money is not an option post what parts you think will add up to 1000 whp and also feel free to submit what will lead up to a powerful tib realisticly because i have come across a 500 whp tib.

I guess nobody would ever make the connection that someone would want 1000hp in a tiburon to make up for something they are lacking.

Anyway, If you have $100,000 to drop on a tiburon, the way to 1000hp IMO would be to drop a tib body onto a full frame chassis and power it with a large displacement V8 with a twin turbo setup. If you did that, your power would not be limited to even 1000hp. Basically tibruon shell on a drag race chassis

Built LSX, twin turbo set-up - cut a transmission tunnel, weld in a 4 link with a monster 12 bolt - 12 point roll cage, I could do it for 25K all day long - and don't think I haven't considered it...

$100,000 into a tib? Then what? I would put that into a "real" investment.. My house or a business

 

Good luck man!!! very ambitious goal. I really don't think it would be possible to stuff an engine capable of 1000hp into a Tiburon though... I would just go for the most HP Tib if you got the time and money. It would still be one of a kind : ) Maybe do a Genesis 3.8 swap / RWD conversion and juice the hell out of it. That would involve frame modification to convert to RWD etc... Still insane IMO I guess anything can be done with enough time and money just wouldn't be worth it to a lot of people.

1000+ hp twin turbo v6 @ 24psi boost. I watched the video once. I think they said it was 4.3 liters in size?

But yeah do what Will said, and I don't think you'll fit a V8 under the hood, so a V6 like that one in the video may be more feasible.
