ive been researching tires for a good month now... and came up to this...

-Hankook Ventus V12 Evo k110

https://www.onlinetires.com/products/vehicle/tires/hankook/215%252F40-18+hankook+ventus+v12+evo+k110+89y.html

215/40R18

Pros: 215/40 size
i'll feel safer knowing its a good tire i guess

Cons: will last less than the nexen

TOTAL for me: Around $500 mounted and balanced

-Nexen N3000
https://www.onlinetires.com/products/vehicle/tires/nexen/225%252F40-18+nexen+n3000+92y.html

225/40R18

pros: thread design looks a little better than the hankooks
cheap
might last longer than hankooks

cons: dont have 215/40 size
might bee too cheap to be good?

TOTAL for me: Around $400 Mounted and balanced

so right now, im debating between these two... its about $100 difference..

i want my tires to last me more than 30k miles, i've heard the Nexen last long... but it seems to be too much of a cheap tire and i dont wanna risk having a wreck or anything.? idk.

the Hankooks k110's. i know its a good tire... but is it really worth the $100 bucks difference? and maybe risking that the hankooks will last less?

PLS HELP DECIDE.. THIS IS TOUGH.

No 215/40's for nexen =(

i can vouch for the hancooks..... they are nice and sticky but if you want to do any hard driving be prepared to replace them they dont last for $hit!

im getting the nexen for my next tire.... i have the falken astenis and i am in love with them but they dont have the size i need for my new rims :3_nooo:

ive herd good things about the nexen N3000
i dont drive hard at all.. just basically cruise around.. i will wanna take some hard corners and such sometime.. bt not often.

nexen are amazing tires bro my dad had em on his 350z and they had good a$$ grip... i beat the sh!t outta that car when i had the chance lol... (not often) but my god, great tires for their price

hahahah a lot of people say its a good tire for its price. just kinda concerned of how some people have said that the side wall cracks?

I have hankook snow tires and i think they are very good

But i like cheap.

what are you basing your estimate that the hankooks won't last as long?
idk, im just based on other peoples reviews...

I've had both tires. Theres no comparison. the Hankook k110's are by far superior. The reason so many people on this site like them is cause they are cheap and last a good while. However, let me point out that it doesn't really have much to do with the treadwear as far as how long the tires will last. What matters is how you drive them. You can still get great miles out of the hankooks if you just cruise on them (which it sounds like thats what you'll be doing). 20k easily.

As far as saftey/handling/braking goes, I went from the 3000's directly to the hankooks, and the diference was HUGE!!

NEXENs FTW...great tire

theres been more good reviews than bad reviews so far...

these are 100 extra bucks that i'll be throwing on the car payment.

im just really looking for something that will look good, that is SAFE. i agree that i shouldn't be cheaping out on tires but i really need to pay off the car this year.

sometimes, just because something is cheap.. doesn't mean that the tire sucks. which is why i am considering nexen.

dude told me on another forum...

"Nexen is like my rota wheels. People think they are cheap. But you will be surprise how many car enthusiast use them"

hah, i liked that.

so i'll be probbly buying these..

thanks guys!

i JUST picked up a bran new pair (just for the front) of Hankook K110 ventus v12 225/40/19 on my 19x8.5 fronts like 3 weeks ago.. my first set was Nankang NS2 225/40/19 (similar to nexens your comparing) and second set was the Falken FK452 235/35/19.. and i gotta say... the hankooks are amazing i the rain.. and alot of grip... i did hear someone complaining that the v12 wears out a little too fast but im not seeing any troubles so far, so... hankook v12 FTW!
