Hey all, I have a 2003 I4. I am NOT looking to go turbo any time soon so I figured i'd post here and see what kinda responses I got.

I did some browsing and whatnot, but am also looking for a little input. Maybe someone that has the same/ similar setup as me :3_winkthu

I have the 4cyl and currently sporting an Injen CAI with MUSSA Angle tip exhaust. I LOVE the way it sounds and am looking to get a header that will compliment it. Anyone have this combo with a decent sounding header with a fair gain on it?

from what i've looked at, for us being i4's, we're pretty much screwed. the only DECENT header i've seen is ARK, or SFR.

Custom equal length tubes are the best but be ready to pay if you can find someone to make them

i used to have a OBX header on mine and apart from being a few inches to short there was nothing wrong with it

+1, I've the OBX as well, same.
But if i were to choose now, IMO you can't go wrong with ARK (if you can afford)

Go ARK. It'll bolt in seamlessly and from my own personal experience with their products it'll probably sound great.

i use to have sharkracing header, the gains were awesome, but i didn't have the right exhaust for it so it was a bit raspy....sharkracing header are 15 inches short...it'll need a cat. in between....the tubes were slightly bigger than obx.
now i have injen sr, obx header, cat and injen exhaust!!
this thing revs the sky, nicely.....i'm very satisfied with the sound....
the performance on the other hand..,,,is good, but nothing compared to sharkracing.

yep, bout 2 inches short but i was welding in a cat anyway

You get what you pay for. The OBX gets the job done... And I have it. However, I wished that at the time I had the money for the SFR SU header. My oem header broke though what a POS.

I still have my hotshot header (even had it repaired once), but I cant decide if the raspy-ness is from it or not.

I have the ARK header, and ark dt-s exhaust with Injen CAI and a hi-flow cat. There is a little bit of rasp while driving around normally but it isn't all that bothering. It does sounds amazing when you get on it though!

I also just got the header and it's been on the car for less than 300 miles, so it's still being broken in, that along with the cat being on less than 200 miles, im sure majority of the rasp will disappear, but either way, it sounds nice! It is loud though!

The OBX header for me was also too short, and upon tightening the bolts slowly to bring it all together, the flex pipe strecthed enough to have a leak. Therefore raspyness and ugly exhaust sounds. .... meh.

So, I am thinking of getting the ARK one this month, but am wondering if anyone has the one from FlyRide or if it's even worth a damn?

Money is not really an option at this point
