I have an 06 TIburon GT Auto with headers, exhaust and CAI. I haven't ran my car yet but I know I've still gotta be in the 15's. What other mods can I do to get me in the 14's?
lol yeah i was thinkin bout nitros. Like a 75 shot. But I dunno. That'll totally kill my engine life and it's also my daily driver.cams should get you there, but also motor mounts and maybe engine dampener and tracktion bars. and a fuel tunner wouldn't hurt
or you can just spray the piss out of it and run a 12 but then have to buy a new motor lol
Oh really? wow okay. I cannot believe he is running a 150 shot! That seriously hasn't messed up his engine at all?a 75 shouldn't be too bad as long as you only use it at the tracks. i know theres a memeber on here running a 150 at the track and still uses it as a daily driver. but deffinetly get a wet kit and it should be fine.
it would actually have less stress on your engine than cams, cams have the higher hp all the time so the extra stress is there 24/7. the nitrous would be only track
Yeah thats true.as long as you have enough fuel to not lean out, it won't really mess stuff up. obviously the bigger the shot the more the stress
V-TECH FTW but i dont get it, why would a cordless phone company give him any HP?pop the hood and get a sharpie marker, and write the following on the Manifold.....V-TECH:3_winkthu
If your staying Na, cams are the way to go. If you ever want to go F/I then don't get cams. I have I/E and good clutch + Fidanza flywheel (9lbs FTW:3_winkthu ) so I want to find out soon what numbers I'll get. Probably low 15s I hope with the heat out here.I have I/E and S-Techs and its still hitting mid 15s, with 2.3 60'fts. This is in phoenix, so its about 1000ft above sea level. Gonna do headers/fuel tuner and hope for low 15s. Do cams really get that much of a gain on these cars? Is there ALOT more area under the curve or what? I might have to look for some spare cams...
No, learn to drive a REAL manual :3_hypocriIf you want a idea of where you maybe here is one.
In the middle of the hot texas spring day, I ran a 15.7 with two people in my car,( I,H,E untuned) I have a fuel turner but wasnt going to go tune with just the IHE but will with the cams at the end of the month hopefully. The best thing I could say is learn to drive with the shiftronic. Leaving it in drive is better than trying to leave it in shiftronic. It can make a huge difference in your times. I late my brother drive my car in drive and he ran a 16 flat. It's all in the driving with it. I've knocked almost half a second. I'm giving it .1 to .2ish since the second rider was in the car.
