That shows what the color really looks like.

The car should be home in a couple weeks, the car is originally from cali, not a ounce of rust anywhere on the car. It runs great and drive great. Will be drifting soon. :)

You finally bought a TOYOTA. And one with the right drivetrain at that!

The car was backed into, and well, fiberglass doesn't like that. :) So it was ziptied together. I'm just going to leave it on for drifting and get the spare bumper painted for shows and what not.

I paid enough for it. ;)

First mods are going to be a KAAZ lsd, and then some Bride seats. And then some spare wheels for drifting. Its not a perfect car by any means which is nice. A few lil things for me to work on. It'll be a fun car. Eventually I'd like to get a fully built 4ag for it and turbo it or swap in a 20V and leave it NA. But we'll see.

Hmm...decisions decisions.

A 20V silvertop in an AE86 would be nice. The custom 4A-GTE will give you problems.

I'm an R-series toyota engine man myself. My friend and I have been rebuilding his 85 celica GT-S's 22R-E. The block is assembled and we install his LC engineering performance head tomorrow and hopefully drop the ***** in!

I think you should just stitch the rest of the fenders and the rear bumper, you could start the next new thing ;) Oh and I think you should swap in a 3 rotor ;)....let me find that video, but I am sure you have seen it. Nice ride anywho, but I think it would look better in black

Oh yeah, ask me how to make a short shifter out of what you already have. It's easy, and free!

Seriously though, of course replace the breaker bar/shift knob.

See that black coke bottle shaped thing on the shifter? That comes off. And beneath that is a little nub onto which you can attach a shift knob that tightens with an allen screw or something (it's not threaded).

But some drifters like long shifters, so yeah, if you were interested...

Simply lowering the shift knob isn't a true short shifter. The throw is technically the same. But some people still don't understand that.

I will eventually buy a full billet short shifter assembly.

True, but I didn't call it a short throw shifter. And never have I called my basstib shifter a short throw either. But your solution works, and is of course, less ghetto.

I'm trying to do mine right. But I've devoted all my time and money to school. You wonder why my car is so mild looking after owning it for 3 and a half years.
