My 06 has 178000 miles on it, and is still running strong. Just curious to know how many miles they've been able to get out of their Tiburons?
If you do water pump, do timing belt replacement while its open. Timing belt kit comes with, belt, tensioner and water pump. This will give you peace of mind for 60K.Bought my 06 2.0L from the original owner (it was his 4th car) at 17k and put on roughly that amount in 3yrs. 33K and trying to make it immaculate...but I need to replace a seeping radiator and the gasket from the water pump is starting to go as well, so I have to top off coolant every 2-3 weeks. Not looking forward to the water pump repairs...
My 03 on 7/17/20 spun bearing at 50k. Rebuilt the engine. At 65k 5/24/25 had shop do timing schedule change. They broke timing belt tensioner bolt. They tried to drill it out and ended up drilling into the block. They are replacing free with used engine with "47k". Mad because I wanted to keep it all original. I knew history of original engine. This used engine warranty is for 12mos or 12kmiles which ever comes first. Now I really gotta drive this thing! My 03 that I purchased new in May '02 is approaching 29,000 miles. Guess I need to drive it more.
Whose air bag light is not on!!😆i got my '03 Tib in 2004 with 10,000 miles on it. it now has 67,000. and yes, i drive it!! i was a truckdriver, so basically i would come home and visit my car!!! i try to take good car of her, because i love my Rescue Puppy, oil changes every 3000 miles because she sits, and periodic replacement of all belts, and new tires every five years. i love my car!!! ♥
and the airbag light is on, i pulled the fuse on that one, i'm 5' and had an airbag deploy. no thanks i'll take my chances with the steering wheel!!!
