I'll be 29 pretty soon here, and the funny thing about that is most of the local people who actually get out and play with their cars are older than I am. Just last night, I ran this girl in her early 30s, who was running a bright yellow 2005 GTO.....pretty fast too. I forgot to ask if she had a sister, though.

There's this guy who comes around almost every weekend, driving a mid 70s Pinto with a 460/C6/9 inch rear, and he's got to be well into his 60s.....and the car is rigged for hand controls, since he's in a wheelchair. I got a ride in that thing once...talk about g force LOL. Just goes to show that age has nothing to do with it.

I'm 18 got the car when I was 17...however I do have a few other vehicles...I have a 2002 Eclipse Spider and my recent one a Mercedez-Benz S600 v12. Well technically I only half own the last one...me and my step dad bought it for $25k about 3 weeks ago. We have plans to Super charge the beast and a few other performance mods to go from 400whp to near 600whp :-D will post more about that some other time.. however my point is I own old guy cars. it is a 4 door and sits like a limo so yea. enough said

36 here. Got Tib 3 yrs ago.

Times are a changing. I always though a first car was just a 4th hand POS. Something you could bag on and allow all your friends to pile in, and if it got a couple dings, who cares.

When I look back if I had got a brand new Tib when I was 17 it's would been destroyed in 2 yrs if I drove it the way I drove my 81 Datsun.

I knew plenty of my friends who had nice cars when we were teenagers, and we actually did take good care of our rides; but I do see your point certainly. I drive all my cars fairly hard. Always have...That'll probably never change unless I get a minvan, but I shudder at the mere thought. of it
