If you drive a Tib and its not a Tuscani, why would you fake that you bought a Tuscani?

This is a question and not a slam, its just not making sense to me so I would like an honest answer if you have done this.
Thanks

Ok, in Korea it is called Tuscani, here it is called Tiburon......different names....same car. Although the Tuscani has a few more features than the Tibs in the US. I changed the badges because I like the way they look and it gets peoples attention more. In my opinion I think the "T" badges makes it look more exotic.

Hmm, didnt know the Tuscani was a regional thing. I did know it came with alot more options when I got mine. I did remove the Tiburon and Hyundai badging for the same reason though (the exotic one).

:3_wink: im seriously with you...im an attention whore and yes i love when people say "what the hell is a tuscani? It's pretty sweet" and then you tell em and tehy are like WOW..and yeah..WELL THE REAL QUESTION IS: When asked on what a tuscani is....what do you tell them? Do you fess up and say that its a tib or make up some **** to sound cool?

I think most have the T badges too be different and most who have them have added alot ofthe options that the Tuscani version in Korea comes with. Items like the doors sills, chrome door handles/fog rings/headlights so really from the extrior of the car it looks just liek the stock ones in Korea. K-spec for us J-spec for the Honda guys its all the same. If you don't like it leave your car badged as it came, no biggie.

i asked this question before in a post a few days ago, everyone got pissed off, i thought it was funny. haha

almost all of us bought the car as a Tiburon...why pretend it's something it's not...I agree the T Emblems look much better then flying H's but at least get the ones that say Tiburon...
That's what I've been saying for like ever. I agree that the "T" badges are awesome, but I am just not the kind of person to rename my car. I have a TIBURON. That's why I bought the Tiburon T badging.

I would have liked the Tiburon T badges better too, but they cost more than $100. I'm not paying that much for a set of badges unless they're made out of solid gold...and the lettering is so small you have to be close up to read it anyways. I doubt someone in a car behind you could read what it says even if they were tailing you. it's still the same car with the exception of a few things (all convienence and visual things, still the same under the hood), it's not like sticking type-R badges on a US-spec Civic when the type-Rs and US Civics are 2 different beasts.

I would have bought the Tiburon "T"s but they didn't come out until long after most of us got the Tuscani badges. Too late to change it now since I already have the Tuscani door sills, chrome handles, chrome fog light rings, seatbelt pads, shift plate, engine & steering wheel emblems, not to mention the passenger side cup holder. So I guess that pretty much makes mine a Tuscani conversion. :3_shiny:

When I'm asked what I have, I usually say the first thing that comes to mind, either Hyundai, Tiburon, or Tuscani. I prefer to just say "Hyundai", because I get tired of explaining what a "Tuscani" is, or why I called it a "Tiburon" when the car blatantly says "Tuscani" right on the body of the car. The "H" had to go though. The car is much more stylish looking with it's Korean badges on.

I didn't have teh option of teh Tiburon T badges till about a year after I already had the Tuscani ones plus you can't get Tiburon aluminum door sills as far as I know.

Besides the fact that every V6 sold in Canada now has Tuscani badges nobody even asks me about it anymore.
