Hi everyone!
I have a weird high idle problem happening with my 07 2.7 tib. Most of the time the idle is fine and normal. Other times, and this happens at least one day a week, the idle will sit around 2000rpms. Sometimes it will climb to almost 3000. This is while sitting in neutral. If I disengage the clutch there is a slight difference but it still remains high. Once I put it in first and go it drops down to normal. But once I'm at a stop and throw it in neutral the idle goes right back up. Now it will do this for a day or two. I'll go to start one morning and the idle is back to normal, until it acts up again.
I changed the TPS sensor awhile back and cleaned out the throttle body. It was idling high today so I decided to shut the car off and unplug the IAC valve connector. Started the car back up and had it in neutral. The RPMS sat at about 1100 and the needle kind of bounced around. I let it run for a couple minutes before reconnecting the IAC valve. After starting the car again with it reconnected the idle was right back at 2000+.
I didn't notice any vacuum leaks, well didn't hear any. I have a new IAC valve on the way.
Anything else someone can suggest? Thanks in advance
