Yes, yes it would. Duh. Need to stop posting near the end of my shift lol... Can't think by then (I work 7-7).

Lol @ the tags BTW.

Hey why are you not running a bov? That could be why your having issues is there is still bost in the charge pipe when the throttle plate is closed. you need to vent it off.

So I got the car back but have another issue, while driving as long as you're in throttle everything is fine but when you go to let off the gas or try to hold at a constant speed it cuts fuel, then when you push on the gas again it hesitates and then goes back to normal. Sounds like a tps issue so we'll see when I take it back tomorrow. GRRRRRRR...................

.
answer my question about the maf and i can fix this for ya.

And what is the sensor plugged into the blower?

No... a smaller crank pulley is less boost. Stock crank is 6''. NGM sells 6.5'', 7'', and 7.5''. Having a smaller pulley on the blower = more boost.
I know, I correct myself further up the thread.

Hey man, does the FIC still use the MAF sensor? Is the MAF the black you can barely see mounted right after your air filter? If that's the MAF your issue is right there.
It does use the MAF but not really it just intercepts the signal and sends it to the ecu. You can also bypass it and not touch the maf wiring but it still has the same problems. Yes the MAF is after the air filter. Why is that causing problems?

so the car is back in the shop again, they though that it was an issue with the tps and the 70mm TB so they put the stock one back on and it's still doing the same thing. Basically the issue is that the tps isn't reading the correct throttle open percentage and is cutting fuel and causing all the problems. The voltage is good on it though so they are going to check the FIC wiring again for loose wires, and if that doesn't work they're going to pull the tps tap from the FIC and put it back to the ecu and see if that works. And if both of those don't fix it them a new tps sensor. And if that doesn't work them I have no idea.
This is the main problem, after I reste the ecu everything is fine for a day or so then the problem pops back up. Then I reset the ecu and it's fine again, and so on and so on. Any help would be great.

Not sure what sensor that is actually, i'll find out tomorrow. I'm pretty sure mad voltage is constant but i'll find that out too. The problem is more lilt a rps thing, but it reads good voltage, the ecu just reads bad throttle plate percentage under slight throttle after it's been driving for a little while. Instead of reading 1% ish while your causing it reads 0 and so it cuts fuel till you put you foot into it then it kicks fuel back in.

Ok so new idea that a friend brought up, switch ECU's with an 03 or 04 tib. Reason: nobody has done the RIPP kit on an 05 or 06 tib, all have been done on 03 and 04's, maybe there is something about the 06 ECU that just doesn't agree with the FIC? So first can it be done? I know a lot of 07 and 08's got to earlier ECU's when they get re-flashed so I would assume that as long as you match the same vehicle specks ie: V6, AT, ABS, that it would work. Also who knows people who have the FIC? most of the people I've found here again have it on 03's and 04's. Just putting an idea out there since it's a lot cheaper than a few grand for a standalone.

Any thought's are greatly appreciated.

the '07-'08 guys (like me) have to go to an 05/06 ECU due to the fact that Hyungai changed something in the programming and TC can't flash it without different (expensive) software. it's just super fortunate the 05/06 ECU even works in our cars in my opinion. it's also less *****y in exhaust department so header CELs are much easier to eliminate for us (impossible otherwise really). it's like a two-fer!

you can try an '04 ECU if you like, just be careful going to an '03 though b/c most of them are 2-bit, and I really have no idea what that would do.

Sounds like it has potential. This would definitely be a lot cheaper then a standalone or switching to a different FIC (eg. MAPECU to get rid of the MAF) and ...re-tuning (yuck)
Any local junkyards??
