you'd think they would know how to drive in winter conditions...they're just as far north as we are, so they should be used to the white crap by now.

Yeah this is a great video! I remeber seeing the same thing on our Toronto news when it happend here in TO a few weeks before Xmas. Funny thing was that at the top of the hill was a fellow bus driver that stoped because he knew how that hill was and was warning people not to go down, but sure as hell is hot people did not stop and went down.
Here is a tip. When you are driving in that kind of weather and come up to a hill like that one the best way to do it is to come to the top of the hill and STOP COMPLETLY! Check it out and if you still think you wanna go down, go very slow and because you stoped at the top you would have provided your self a much beter chance of getting down the hill. Even if you go over the top of the hill and down the hill at a very slow speed you will not have as a good of a chance of making it. Now don't ask me why this works because I don't know the scientific or whatever reason that it works. I just know that this helps and that's why they teach it to us at work.
