new here, but have had my 03 tib for some time now. I am have a few mods, nothing special. Ark exhaust, Front and rear strut bar. upgraded head unit. Looking to get a CAI or SRI, though I don't know much about them. I guess I have to read.

So anyway, Hai!

Hi, sounds like your already off to a good start! As Ark is prob the best exhaust out there for the tib! As far as cai's go, I have the AEM cai and I absolutely love it. It was my first mod. Installed in the driveway in about an hour and half. The quality, fitment and performance is top notch! Plus it just sounds great, And will work great with your exhaust. Are you i4 or v6?

eww, please don't sticker your car up!

You have an ARK exhaust! I had one and I'll agree that it is the best one available out there. As for other mods, since you have a 4 cyl, I can't offer much in the way of advice since mine is a V6, but you have the best platform for a turbo so aim for that!

Now, get to modding...and welcome to NT!

Why shouldn't I put stickers on my car? My friend has a Honda and him and his "team" (yes, they call themselves a team), have stickers on their car. They said it's the tuner thing to do. Plus I kinda think it looks cool. maybe not? idk
Welcome. And I seriously hope you are kidding...seriously.

well, I wanna keep my car JDM or JMD (whatever it is). So I am getting all the good parts and I want to advertise what I have. Is that wrong or something? I'm kinda new to the car scene. I'm not stupid with cars, just the whole culture. So any feedback would help. I am really relying on my friend for this kind of stuff, but apparently honda's aren't cool anymore? I know if you boost any of them, they own so much. That's why I want to boost the tib. Eventually.

Just do whatever you want! After all it's your car! IMO Performance stickers don't make the car look ricey if they are placed properly. I know there are others who strongly dissagree, but who cares. Just make sure you only put stickers of mods you actually have!

What do you mean? Sorry, I sometimes have a hard time following people. I was thinking about going for a "sponsorship" look. You know, with stickers all over. I have a whole box of stickers.

Oh, wait! You mean don't put stickers on my car of companies or parts that I don't have on the car, right? I suppose. But, what am I going to do with all these stickers then? There are like over 20 of them. :(

OK, tuner4life hit it on the head.....it's your car, do what you want to it.

However....let me also throw a little food for thought your way. It's not that Honda's are a bad car. Most Hondas are just little hi gas mileage 4 cylinders whom kids pick up used and throw a fart can, er...muffler or catback on and think then they have the shiznit. Then they buy "JDM" stickers, or other random stickers and plaster them all over the car, then they buy bleacher seats (really high metal trunklid spoilers), and cut the springs and slam them , and put on rims worth more than the car, etc. etc. Do you see where I'm going? And here is the part that jumps out at you.....People do this not only with Hondas, but with any brand automobile. These people and their cars are commonly referred to as ricers! I like to say it simply...all show and no go OR tasteless show and no go.

So, if you want to place stickers on your car, that's fine. Put them where you like, that's fine too. Heck, I had an AEM sticker under my hood and an ARK sticker at the top of my rear windshield. So it is possible to place stickers with taste. That's the key point I'm trying to make....make it tasteful.

Now, you mentioned JDM. Well, if you want to keep a car as you called it "JDM", then you must sell the tiburon and buy yourself a Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Subaru, etc....because I have yet to see a legitimate JDM made part for a Hyundai. They are parts made specifically for certain cars and aren't cheap. Think of JDM as the messiah to Honda parts as Garrett or HKS is to the turbocharger.

If you're friends all drive a Honda and you have a Hyundai, you are going to be the black sheep but that doesn't mean you have to be the slowest sheep....Mod your car quietly, tastefully, and smartly, and the Honda guys/gals won't know what hit them. Then the crooked H earns you a little respect amongst your Honda buddies.

Just my 2 cents, take it for what you will.

For example

Brembo
Turbotronics
Ark
APC
Weapon R

Just to name a few! I have seen them on some cars in drift competitions, and I think it looks very cool
And if you also end up in competition events and indeed get yourself a sponsorship, then by all means advertise your sponsors and/or favorite parts....tastefully!

Decorate your fridge and microwave like me. Or something else, but please don't put them on your car.

Lolol my roommate drives a S/C Cavalier with those parts. Plus, With the AEM intake, our microwave heats things twice as fast, and our fridge cools things in a quarter of the time with those comp cams and jegs pistons.

clearly I'm kidding

So you're saying it's not cool to put stickers on my car all over the place? I'm so confused now.

JDM = Japanese
KDM = Korea...which is what our tibs are....so no SuperSaiyan you won't really find a "JDM" part for a tib.

and laff79....im with you...i'm outta here

in a nutshell, that's what I was trying to say. But it's your car....and you can do whatever you want....and that always trumps what we or others think is cool!

Nothing to be confused about.
