I was just curious has anyone attempted to do an ls swap on a tiburon? By LS swap I mean doing an ls4 swap since the ls4 is for front wheel drive I think that would be easier instead of going through the difficult work of trying to make the tiburon RWD and then putting any other LS in it. Would be a pretty nice build the LS4 get no attention just like the tiburon lol

IF there is a manual awd setup, then we can potentially take a page from the honda handbook. I dont know if the awd santa fe came with a manual transmission, but i know it did offer a manual for the 2.7L. If one were to do the conversion, you can block off the front outputs, weld the diff, and run a solid driveshaft to the rear, Bobs your uncle.

Of course its a little more complicated than that, but if the drivetrain exists, its certainly possible. My other main project is a 99 prelude. Since the current release of a billet bellhousing that allows the adaption of a crv transfer case on a H22 transmission, ive been highly considering going this route myself on that car.

Not another LS swap or RWD thread... This has been discussed thousands of times. Nobody has completed an LS swapped Tiburon. Most people that ask the question are NOT ready mechanically or financially for such an endeavor.

I've seen one recent successful 2JZ RWD swap and one recent almost AWD 4G63 swap in the last 10 years.

yeah I’ve seen some threads of ls swapping the tiburon and people thinking about trying to attempt a rwd conversion. My post wasn’t about me trying to attempt it just wondering if there were anyone has done it successfully cause that would be cool to see. About the 2jz rwd swap do you have the link to the post? Or ig I would love to see that and I have seen the 4g63 swap one I think it was done by someone in FL.
