Damn Tyler... Decisions, Decisions, Decisions....
You can do it! It always takes me FOREVER to make a decision. Haha
Otherwise I'd probably have a Min Garage kit, SSA exhaust, and the Eibach Pro Kit springs right now. Hahaha

I'm your biggest fan
Why thank you! Always appreciated. :)

get a number lol
Haha, no kidding! I keep seeing pics of Korean Tibs with my flares... I need them on NAO!!!

And thank you to everyone who voted for me in the 3 categories I was nominated for! 2 wins and a tie for 3rd in the other, I think. Haha
All of the support is basically what has built this car! I don't plan on ceasing to push the limits anytime soon, either. :)

I am going to get Lip kit I think before i go F/I but then again... If i don't go F/I soon i might just go N/A... lulz Vortech kit i do believe but idk... I change my mind more between Turbo and Vortech then I do my underwear...

Congrats on the Category wins... I voted you for Exterior but I love Arabian Photos... What was your 3rd Category?

LOLOL at the "I love Arabian photos." Hahaha It's Arabican, I believe. Very close, but different enough to make it funny as hell for no reason. ;) The cool part is that I've never even posted actual photos of things, really. Just car pics.
The 3rd category was Best Technical Advisory and Most Informative Member or something excruciatingly long like that.
I wouldn't even waste money on the '03-'04 lights since you're gonna change them anyways, but it's your call! It'd be cool to do a Vortech kit, but I'm also a huge fan of N/A stuff, and turbos are always a good choice, so you can't really go wrong with any of those choices. Haha

aw... Whatever... and I am only upgrading for to F/L if i can get them for under $200 shipped other wise no go just because I think $287 is ridiculous...

I think Vortech is sick because there isn't a ton of them out there... Plus $2100-$2500 for the kit... I already have my tuner, motor mounts and such... Just need to do clutch... Headers are coming with taxes... $50 shipped.. I gotta build my own y pipe is all..

Yeah, the F/L headlights are a little pricey, but they definitely make the front end look waaay nicer. I've been thinking about getting some new ones, just to keep them looking brand new, but it'll probably be a while now. Haha

Vortech would definitely be nice! No one has done a Vortech setup in a looong time. generalduke is about to, though. A Y-pipe wouldn't be TOO much of a hassle, either. That's definitely a promising route to take! As long as it doesn't blow your motor apart. Haha

Yeah, you can adjust dampening and front camber, but the preload is a little different than that.
Preload is pretty self-explanatory when you think about it. It's the amount of load on the spring before there's actually a load on it, meaning when the car is off of the ground, basically. It's just more control for the stiffness and rebound characteristics of it and such. You can basically make the spring as loose or tight as you want with a 3-piece.
Dampening is basically just dealing with the firmness of the ride and helping with body roll characteristics, and the front camber plates just adjust the angle of the wheels towards or away from the center of the car. Keep in mind that a couple of degrees or so of negative camber can be quite helpful for cornering abilities, because it can help with turn in and keeping your tire in contact with the ground during hard cornering.
Ok so basically ARK coilovers are a little more friendlier/easier to adjust dampening and hight vs tiens...puttting it simple?

the bottom collar that connects to the suspension knuckle on the DT-P's controls the ride height as you an slide it up and down the strut body. then a set of collars allows you to tighten the spring against the top hat.

The teins have the mounting bracket welded in on one place, so you have to rely purely on spring pre-load, which as you raise or lower the car, changes the dynamics of the suspension dampening and resistance to movement, along with the distance of movement also.
^^^Ok I think i understand more here, so am i correct about the ARK coils being more user friendly?

Well, not more user-friendly, really. Just more adjustable. Any full-bodied coilover will be basically the same to adjust, it's mainly just how much adjustment you have that sets them apart, as well as the build quality and all, of course.
With Teins, there just isn't really a way to adjust ride height. You lower it by reducing the preload, which is like the opposite of what needs to happen. Haha

^^^U lost me again? so waaa lowering tiens is only really reducing preload?
so then you lower the car with ARK's by just_____

Yeah, that's all you're doing with the Teins is reducing preload to lower it.
With the Arks, as Fallen Aquila said, the base of the coilover (the part that mounts to the spindle), is a separate piece from the threaded body of the coilover, whereas the base of the Tiens is welded solid. So with the Arks, the base spins freely around the body, so you adjust the ride height by spinning the base up or down (there's an easier way, but it's harder to explain).

Oh ok i gotcha now i believe =) thnks for explaining so much, its hard not actually seing the strut in front of me +P

I might actually wind up going with ARK now lol I have a friend that could get the Tiens for around 1400 so theyed be about the same price if i just ordered the ARK's from the site...

One more quick question! lol but so what does ARK stand for? and where is the company from like Tien is produced in Japan as well as Ksport etc...is ARK a company in Korea?

Well when you get new let me know and ill buy yours... lol...

Vortech looks so nice in the engine bay... I mean I can make the Turbo kit look nice but i just don't think it will look as clean... Also, Y-pipe can be built by my friend Matt "Jattus" put in resonator my Black Chrome Tips, Hi-flow cat and Muffler... It will be loud but it will sound good; I hope :3_frusty: ...
As long as i keep it on "Stage 1" and have cooling then it will be okay once i go up to stage 2 is when the crap starts breaking... There was someone on here that was Stage 2 and was on stock block running fine...

No problem! ;) And yeah, you can catch the DT-Ps for like $1300 when they're having a big sale.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't stand for anything, but I could be wrong. Haha
They're from Korea, though. That part I am sure of! :)

Haha, I'll keep you posted if you're still in the market by then. ;)

The Vortech would look pretty wicked! And so shiny. :)
And yeah, I don't see it being a threat to your motors well-being as long as you don't try to go crazy with the boost. But that's pretty self-explanatory, really. Haha

Ok cool man, I'll have to see how $$$ is when i catch a sale =)

Ksport and D2 are taiwanese, or china counting on which country you are in (some do not reconise taiwan as an independent nation)
oh, my B lol
