Any aftermarket catback would sound great with the turbo setup. A lot of the exhaust tone gets eaten up by the turbocharger itself, so anything extra to offer sound deadening is gravy. Most A/M Catbacks come with dual mufflers, and even if you get rid of your OEM cat, it will still sound pretty mellow, but it will growl!

Like I mentioned, I have two straight through stainless mufflers, a huge (long)resonator taking the place of the secondary cat, and a flex pipe right off of the downpipe to allow for a bit of movement. I wish I had a decent video camera to give you a sound clip..it sounds mint.

I would say go with a custom setup, downpipe-to-tailpipe. It seems that money's flowing pretty good for you, so you could definately piece together a 3" mandrel bent system for a pretty reasonable price. (probably the cost of just a A/M catback...)

Money? Actually its not bad right now, the CDN govt pays a soldier well for living here, I am getting an extra $3300 per month un-taxable on top of the $4000 I normally make which is now un-taxable too because im in Afghanistan. But there are still bills to be paid so I can use a whole lot of this money for the car.

I remember seeing somewhere that you could buy bundled mandrel bent pipes, I just need to remember where though, that would be the best route for a 3" exhaust, I would have to keep a cat of course just for legal reasons, I read an article in Import Tuner where they did dyno tests on different cats and a test pipe, I figure for the 3 whp that a test pipe yeilded I would stick with a cat. We will have to see what I decide on for that route, I dont want to be fabbin a whole lot of stuff not yet anyhow. I am ordering the boost controller and BOV next week, I went with TurboXS standard boost controller and H-RFL BOV. At the end of the month I will pick up a clutch so I need to get shopping, I was looking at the Spec Clutch site but cant find any prices there so I will have to contact them. Gauges I will order when I get home in Feb along with the turbo kit, I can get them through a local shop and have it put on a payment system with my new car audio. I am not going to bother with the flywheel for now, instead im going to get the Koyo rad as mine is a little beat up.

Well the gauge toss up is over, I just purchased a set of Autometer Phantom gauges. boost, oil press, and EGT. Got a good deal on them and I also picked up a triple pod A-pillar from Craig at Compact Divisions. That was the easy part I hope, now the larger spending starts.

More spending done, I ordered the Spec Stg III clutch, I dumped the idea of the flywheel in hopes of saving a little cash. Will put the 3" exhaust from KDMstuff on the Mastercard at Christmas, the rest will have to wait until later, but I think that most of my shopping is done now. Cant wait to boost!

For a wideband o2 setup....I was poking around the AEM site and there are a few options they have, there is the full sensor/gauge package and then there is just the sensor...can I purchase just the sensor? I figure I will need to get a dedicated o2 bung welded in for it because its not a genuine Hyundai part...
