Last night i went to do my rotors cause theyre a bit warped, and i couldnt get them off at all. i bought an impact screwdriver but it still started to strip the screws, also i had a hard time getting the calipers off, i was able to get them off to switch my brake pads but i couldnt get the whole thing off so i can change the rotor. also i hurt my should at work so i was having a hard time doing that, haha so if anyone would want to give me a hand that would be great. i live near worcester ma, i have a garage also with all the tools ( no air tools though), also maybe a bbq or something? or if anyone has any tips that could make this easier for me that'd be great. thanks everyone

Justin when we did Mikes rotors we had to drill out the screw that was in the rotor and then hit them with a 3 lb. sledge to get them off. The screw is just for the factory you don't need to reinstall them. Good luck!

If you get in a jam call Mack at Island Auto Sales, Worcester 508 798-9349. They do allot of reconstruction and salvage Hyundai’s so they are used to working with “problem cars”, have lots of Hyundai parts, tools and some extreme skills when it comes to Tiburon’s – its where my Tib came from. Let him know you talked to Noreen on the Tiburon forum and he should give you a break.

did everything work out today justin?
I'm actually going to tackle it today, yesterday i ended up at lowes getting a new lawn mower (my current mower died, when i pulled the cord to start it oil dripped out of every seal/hole/crevass in the mower).

Thanks Noreen for the info, if i get in a real jam or break something i'll def give them a call, i work in worcester so it wouldnt be that bad to go there, and ill give you a ring today nolan.

Again thanks everyone for all your help.

well i got the fronts completely off, thanks for the info on drilling out those screws. i havent put it back together cause i figured id paint the calipers while everythings apart. maybe ill have some pics by tonight.

Good to hear it worked out!

I was hoping the 8/19 meet would happen so I could see some Tib rides, but it was canceled!
I’m thinking of getting lambo doors and I want to do more to my tib, but I would like to check out what others have done first.

Is it possible to organize a local central mass meet?
