If the sound doesn't go away when the brakes are hit, I'd wonder if it is the wheel bearing. I believe this is what was happening to my Tiburon before I sold it. It kinda sounded like a rusty rub.

Now, I never replaced it, I sold it before dumping more money into it, so this diagnosis could be completely wrong.
