My only concern with your suspension setup in the rear is the way the top of the shock is angled back twords the rear of the car. if it was facing the front it would easily work i think. With it facing the rear, im not sure it will be that effective but honestly you wont know until you test it out. In theory the way the weight transfers and all it seems like the shock tube might get bent from a hard seriously launch but i could be very wrong. i think it would be 100 percent more effective it standing straight up or even angled forward.
Anyway, report back after you try it out. id like to hear the results. ive got a fwd drag car here (93 dodge colt) using a 4g63 and im working with a dual coil suspension setup in the rear that seems to do the trick quite well. im cutting 1.5 - 1.6 60 fts here with about 8-10 psi in the slicks.
