I just bought my Tiburon on Saturday, it's a 2004 V6 GT with 37K miles, and now after I begin to accelerate, I hear like this rattling type noise I believe after 2K RPM that I don't think I noticed before, would this be solved by the thread up there? Figured I would post a different thread in case if it's not the problem in the sticky.

he means the sticky

it could be that sticky or it could be your throwout bearing going out in your clutch in you have a manual.

Thanks for the quick reply guy, I'm not too good with cars, part of the reason I joined here to learn more about my vehicle. I'd go out and check right now but it's raining in this neck of the woods badly, but I believe it to be from the right side (when in the driver's seat)

i have same problem and its fricken annoying it sounds like a f'n bird chirping lol thats the best i can describe... it comes from the right side when in your car driving and as you accelerate it makes this noise but when i have it in neutral or a a stop it stops making it... getting on my f'n nerves, i cant find out what it is... i thought it may be the cat but i dont think so... a little help would be greatly appreciated

Hmm it could be the infamous trunk rattle we all unfortunately face, look that up.


Also, since there are alot of plastic pieces in the engine, that also rattles alot too if everything isn't tightened properly(had this problem after messing around in my engine bay)


Do you have any sunglasses in your sunglass holder? That also rattled for a while and drove me crazy.

Oil filter possibly like Wyatt explained in his thread about the ticking

TOB also if it squeels like a bird

I was told by a friend to replace the filter, put oil stabilizer and just do my own oil change, I'll try that and if not, I'll take it to the dealership while it's under it's 30 day warranty.

I was just going to say.....take it back to the dealer. Don't spend a dime trying to fix it yourself if you JUST bought it.

Yeah, well I ended up replacing the engine, there was a spun rodbearing, it was 50 miles over warranty so they only covered a percentage of the cost, it really sucked. 1880 later.
