No you can't. Go with 20 offset if you want that but prepare for fender rolling although it shouldn't be that bad if you are on stock height.
Do I understand well what fender rolling is? (picture attached)

Do I need anything else to prevent rub? Or fender rolling would solve all the issues?

And how about buying wheels with 35 offset and in case I don't like what I see adding 15mm spacers? 35-15 would be the same as 20 offset if I'm not wrong.

I never did anything like this, so I have quit a lot of question before buying. Appreciate your answers!

Yes thats fender rolling, special device which bends the fender flange inside and pushes whole fender out. You can also use 215 tire instead of 225 and the best idea would be to get coilovers with adjustable camber so you can adjust angle of the wheels inside and so prevent rubbing.

Getting wheels with 35 offset is better idea as if you don't like it you can always get spacers and push it out. If you realise wheels with 20 offset are to much you can't go back, you have to buy new wheels.
35 offset and 15mm spacer is the same as if wheel has 20 offset.

So get wheels with 35 offset and 225 tires put them on the car, see if you like it and go for a test drive to see if it rubs and you go on from there.

That makes a lot of sense! Thank you very much for help! Appreciate it!

I'm still trying to understand everything and what not when it comes to tires and wheels.

The stock tire is 215/45-17 and the wheel is 7" wide and offset of 46.

I found some Rotas that are 8" wide with an offset of 35. I want to use the same tires because I've just purchased them after buying my Tiburon.

Can I use the same tires on these wheels? Any help would be thankful. I've been doing the math and stuff for it and the wheel will be about 1.7mm closer to the strut (inner) and the (outer) will stick out about 23.7mm.

I don't want to have to get new tires after just getting these. They're barely 1.5 months old.

I have issue with only my rear left tire being cambered in on the top a few degrees but all the rest are fine what could the problem be?
You should just get the alignement done and see if it any better.

FishOuttaWater --- you can use 215/45R17 tire on your new wheels even if they are a bit wider, nothing to be afraid of. Tires will be just slightly stretched in comparison with stock wheels and it will actualy look nice. Go ahead man :)

i have been reading for a long time this theme and since one week i instaled 19" with 215 35 19 et 38 and 8,5.i have eibach pro kit and dosent rub never, now i put in the rear 0.5mm spacers and rub but sometimes when i drive with 4 people.

I just recently joined and not sure if this I the right place to ask this but they’re rims that i want to purchase that are 17” by 9 with a 5x114 lug pattern. I am wondering if they’ll fit my 05 GT v6, and if so what wheels can I run without rubbing it with basic rolling.

You should check what the offset is as this is also one more important info you need to know as it determines how close to fender wheel will sit.
for 9" wide wheels you will have to roll fenders as much as possible and get narrower tire like 225.
