OK so there are a lot of quality Lambo/Veritcal Door kits out there, and there are a lot of cheap knockoffs. So which ones are which?

There are numerous websites to get them from....Vertical Doors.com, Gull Wing Doors.com, JT AutoStyle.....etc

And there are literally countless different makes on eBay.

So will some people that actually have these kits, or just know what they are talking about help the rest of us out?

I've got the Ark kit, and it's a fantastic quality and a great kit. I've had it on for a little less than a week now, and every time I get out of the car I get looks and comments from people. I would definitely suggest the kit, I'd say it's the best kit out.

Here's some pics just to give you an idea.

No.. You take out your fenders and take apart your doors and mount everything. Preferably use three people so two can hold the door while the third lines everything up and screws where necessary. However, it can be done with two people with a bit of work.

I've heard only great things about the ARK kit as well, but I've been chatting with the ARK folks and they said their initial design isn't available anymore. They're working on a new design and will update us all when it's available; sometime within the next month. I'm hoping for a groupbuy!

I have the $700 JT Autostyle kit. I figured that I would get what I pay for...but so far, it has held up greatly. I like it because it doesn't make the doors wing out at all. The door goes out a tad and then up. The hinges are solid nickel and it has worked well for me. And it is great because my Tib is a DD and I have had the doors on my car for maybe six months now...so that is evidence that they last.
My car is on the left and my friend's is on the right. Notice how his doors wing out more than mine.

Here is a pic that I took right when I got them on.

and here it is today, along with TuscanJay's (same kit) .. good picture that shows simply the lambo's just go good with the Tiburon w/ stock bumper or aftermarket (In my opinion)

ARK Lambo Door Kit

Honestly, how much room do you have to get in and out of your car with those? I wonder about getting these, but it looks like it would be a pain to get in and out of your car.
A lot of people say that and even a lot of people try to get in my car and just give up. In my opinion, I have a much easier job getting in and out then the stock doors because I am a bigger guy (6', 225lb's) and when I tried getting out with the stock doors, my foot would leave bad scuff marks on my door panel parking next to another car (Not being able to open door all the way)... With the lambo's, never a problem ever again and I've tried it out, parked 12" from my friends car once to see how close I could get (Not that I'd ever want to), but yeah.. the door still opened without coming close to his car and I easily got out. <-Just my experience and how easy it is for me.

I actually find it easier to get in and out with the vertical doors, but I'm also a little guy (5'7", 140lbs.)

Basically any shop that does body mods can do it. I have a friend that just opened a shop a few months ago, so I took it to him and he did it relatively cheap. Overall the install is not that hard from what I saw.

Here is another pic of mine with the ARK kit, as Kyle posted a few posts back. I like them but they can be annoying at times. They do help a lot in tight spaces though. lol. Good quality. I've been told by a couple performance shops that it is the best kit they've ever seen on any car. Also, yes, you do have to cut your fenders slightly.
