Well, I dropped it off hoping that he would just do everything. I was willing to pay for it. He seemed like he would do it all, but when I got there, he pretty much told me to wire it up the way I had already done it. So I got it back to starting up, and he started tuning from there. He got it running ok, but we were having problems adjusting some settings in the program. We set it up to see a 3 bar map, but it would only let us put in numbers up to 4psi. So when the car hits 4psi, it immediately cuts fuel. I need to go research the program more and see how I can program it to allow more boost to be seen.
He's never worked with the program before, so he really can't spend time on it. It's basically up to me to input stuff and get the base settings in. And he just does the fuel/ignition maps. I'm sure he could spend more time on it to figure it out, but it's just not cost effective for either of us for him to spend so much time on it.
Once I figure out how to change the scale settings, then I can take it back to him to finish it off. Basically, I'm back to where I was, only with a little better tune. Enough to drive around in.

So you have to go back soon?

I'm not sure now. I have a wideband, and I've been messing with the maps myself and getting it to run better. I'm only lacking the ability to run over 4psi. But it's pulling a lot harder than it was before.
I may just do as best as I can, then take it to him for minor tweaking.

As much as it would suck to sell, it'll be for the better.

As for who wants to buy it, I've been talking to a guy from Houston, but it's actually his GF that wants the car. She apparently stumbled onto the korean sites and saw all the modded RD's and decided that's what she wanted. :3_winkthu

On the downside, they MAY want it on the 23rd... if that's when they can do it, then I gotta sell it. That would kind of blow because then I'd have to take the anemic elantra with cheapo tires to a track meet lol. I'm still really looking forward to see you (jon) and 12sec's car make a few passes, though :3_winkthu

Well I got a call late last night from the people who want to buy it and... they want to buy it this weekend :2_neutral

It's sooner than I was expecting but I really, really need the cash. On the positive side, I'm sort of glad the people who are buying it are gonna be the new owners. I think they're pretty young, but the girl fell in love with tibs, her boyfriend is fairly knowledgable about cars and knows how to do body work, mod cars, etc. They're going to be able to fix it up appearance-wise like I couldn't and I'm not sure if they're going to want to turbo it still or just complete the N/A mods. I'll try to get them to go to the Prarie Hill meet so at least the car will still make it and I can see what it can do. Now I've got to get to work getting that exhaust and dp cut.

Now I have to decide which car to take to the meet... the elantra makes sense because it's a hyundai meet, but the mercedes would be the much funner car on the auto-x course and I'm curious about it's 1/4 time.

Wassup Jon!!! im still planning on going to the meet. I am just gonna pay when I get up there. Are they gonna have an auto X course there this time? If so are you gonna have to pay extra to run it? either way Im gettin stoked for the trip supposedly there are going to be a few less people going this time from Austin. I would like to see if maybe we could all meet up (ie San antonio, Austin, Round Rock) Let me know of any idears. PEACE

We are planning to meet up with the Austin crew. That means that we need to leave SA around 6am or so. Sucks, but it'll be cool meeting up with like 15 other Tibs.

I got the exhaust on!! Well... it didn't line up very well due to the downpipe and the hangers not lining up but I didn't give a sh!t so the buy just cut it a little after the cat and welded it on there so it's really just a muffler and the piping to re-route it under the rear section so the muffler is angled. It's really freaking quite now and it doesn't really sound ricey at all (like almost all N/A 4cyl exhausts I've heard). :3_koning: Also got the inspection sticker at the same place for $30 bones. I think the guy was tired of me because he didn't even look at the car :3_nosthum

Jon, I'm pretty sure you know where I went. Just go by there for an inspection and if he points anything out to you, just say "sorry, I'm going to address it this week. Can I just give you an extra $20?" lmao
