Hello guys !
I'm rly need your help.
Where the fu!@ is the oil control valve filter ?
I'm asking becouse I'm still have P0010 trouble code...
I replaced oil control valve and camshaft position. So it's probalby the oil control valve filter or broken ECU.

My Tiburon is 2004, 2.0.

Is that somewhere here ? Can you targget me this filter ?

Thanks for help !

The blue circle is just a plug for an access hole to drill an oil drain hole deeper in and the red circle is a connector. Those plugs are pretty difficult to remove also. The solenoid is just beyond the connector. Here are some photos that should help.

It could be that the OCV is just bad. My gf's Elantra had the same code and I was going to try cleaning the filter before replacing the OCV, but I made the mistake of trying to take the OCV out the same time I was cleaning the filter. The whole end broke off because the o-ring was stuck in the head pretty good.

After putting in a new OCV and resetting the code it never came back. Here's the one I bought (this is a really good price)....

Amazon.com: Auto 7 (629-0009) CVVT Oil Control Valve: Automotive

Okey guys, now I rly have a porblem. I bought this OCV Brand new, replaced with my old and in the end i deleted the check. I can feal that the car have more power, but check come out anyway. Still with the same code P0010 :(
Dunno what should i do now :< Restart ecu ?

Have you checked the oil level recently?

Should also check to see that the ocv circuit is good and ecm commands are reaching ocv.

Did you clean the filter?

I restarted my ECU, and it's still coming out (CEL reappears) :<
Dunno, maybe I should still try deleting this CEL? I was driving like 3-4 months with this. Maybe it have frozen status or something like that?
[edited your post a bit for readability, hope I have it correct....]

There are no "frozen" CEL's...... doing a ECU reset (clearing the code with a scanner, removing power to the ECU, whatever) clears CEL's.....

How fast does the CEL come back after clearing the code/resetting the ECU? It usually takes a drive cycle or more (depends on the code, your's is a new one to me).

How are you clearing the code?

Did you clean/replace the filter as well?

Okey so i cheked oil level - it's okey.
I tried to restart ecu with unplug acumulator + and - on cold engine
I tried to delete check with obd2 bluetooth with torque
The check com out after 8-17 km.

Rly guys i don't know what can i do next :(

Tibi is more powerfull but still sometimes i can feal that he doesn't have power on low rpm for a while.

Now i have 10W40 Mobile one oil, maybe i should change the oil ?

Accumulator?, we're assuming you mean battery?

Whatever, if you clear the CEL (recheck for CEL's using any type OBDII scanner), then the ECU is finding an issue with the system & turning it on in 8-17km.

Fix the issue.

You never answered, did you clean or replace the filter for the valve? It's been asked a few times. If it's clogged, it can likely also trip the same code/CEL.
If it's bad enough, you may also have crud/dirt/carbon/etc. in the oil circuit passages by the filter &/or valve.

Oh sory m8, Yes i mean battery.

I cleaned my ocv filter. Maybe should i just remove this filter and see what will happen ?

Maybe my ecu is just broken ?

Well I don't think so m8. Maybe 3 weeks ago my engine had completely renovate, so I think it should be clean :<

Is there a way to clean the oil circuit passages?

So, you had a recent engine rebuild (renovate)? Would have been good to know sooner.

We're assuming this CEL started up AFTER the rebuild? Could be an issue the shop left when doing the work.

Why did you do a rebuild? If it was oil starvation (killing rod or main bearings) you may still have crud in the oil passages.
Without finding a oil circuit diagram, it may be possible to remove the filter & valve and blow compressed air through the passage to check for blockage. You may need to find a passage closer to the oil pump and blow up from there.

Maybe someone else here knows a better place to blow through.
You may also be able to remove a part in the circuit and start the engine, checking for oil coming out. If it does, shut off the engine and remove the next part. Try another engine start....
Keep going until you find an issue or maybe clean the passages out.

Yes, this will be messy.

Hmmm......... have you checked oil pressure? Maybe it's too low to fully function the circuit. May be worth having the shop fix it (if the CEL is a new issue) under warranty.:wink2:

No, no cel was coming out a long before my engine rebuild.
I had to do this, becouse my engine ate oil.
After rebuild i checked oil pressure, and it was okey.

Maybe i bought the wrong OCV ?
Here is that one i bought :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/141303264584

There is info in disscription, that should match to my engine.
But the OCV was a little diffrend from my old OCV. The new one was a little smaller. But still after replace my car got more power.

Dunno why I'm still thinking it's an ECU probblem.
I rember that, a long before replace the OCV, I could delete the cel with unpluging "-" for a while. The cel didn't come out until I again unpluged the batery. Now it's not working :<

What was "rebuilt" (renovated)? Rings, valve seals, both, full rebuild, what?
Was the oil pump replaced?
Where were you checking oil pressure, or are you using the dash gauge?

For you (or basically ANYONE on this site), why not open the "user control panel" and make a signature for your cars year, model, engine, trans, major mods so we have some idea what we're starting with.
Adding in your location (small country, just list it, big country, give us a general idea, no need for a street address....) can also help a bit.

You can use my "location" and "signature" for some guidance.

Okey, sory guys for my absence - had a lot of work :<

Charlie- III i did full rebuild of my engine.

Today i was in Hyundai service. They tried to fix it, but without any results.
I have a graph how ecu trying to make my ocv works, and how it look's in reality inside the engine.

Dunno guys, they checked ECU, Oil contorl valve, camshaft position sensor - all of them working good.
They said it's a problem inside the engine. But for real, i replaced the wheel variable valve timing when i was rebuild the engine.

Any suggestion ? IMO it's look's like it's stuck or smt like that.
