I just had a long talk with TC today. He's working with Ruben down in PR currently, and asked me to post up an update, as he's without a computer or phone.

He's run into some major financial issues, as well as issues with some suppliers- especially the shop that handled his CNC work. He told me he had run completely out of money, and had to drop out in order to take the job with Ruben and make ends meet. He said he's sorry for not staying in touch with everyone, and that he needs about two months to get things situated with NGM. He's got a few orders out that he's working to fill, and is able to have parts made up with a new supplier, so he is able to accept orders.

I talked to him about some of the issues being posted about here regarding NGM, one of which was the stage 2 reflash issue. I'm satisfied that he's actively working on a fix for this. One of the other issues we talked about was Raven's clutch, and he told me that this particular part is a very expensive one-off and that he just hasn't been able to get it completed yet, although it's in the works.

He has just gotten his email linked to his phone down in PR, and its nextgen03gt@gmail.com. He promised me that he'll be answering email from this address from now on.

Jovanie, he asked me to have you get in touch with him regarding your lean issue. He's getting ready to do some dyno work, and is hoping to look at your car to correct the problem. I no longer have my Alpine, but I am very interested to see what he comes up with.

That's pretty much all I have, guys. I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone with him tonight, and I do believe what he's telling me.

Re: NGM update

this is "good" news i guess. I completely understand his situation but he does need to get people there parts.

I have dealt with him before and have no complaints, he overnighted me the handheld and answered any and all questions i had. he is a true staple of our community.

I sincerely hopes he gets its back together.

Re: NGM update

So his phone has email on it, but no web browser?

I find that hard to believe.

Re: NGM update

Don't shoot the messenger.

His phone apparently doesn't work down there, but he's got one through work that he can use for his personal email.

He did call me from a phone that showed up as Puerto Rico on my caller ID.

All I'm saying is, if you have access to email, you have access to a browser. It might be roaming data, but it still works.

Re: NGM update

Yeah but that makes it WAY too easy for a drone strike once you zero in on the web browser, he's being careful!

Re: NGM update

it depends where he is staying... if it's at Ruebens, well... let's say Ruebens neighbor is tarzan. Some places in PR are country and internet signals aren't the best

Re: NGM update

you all are getting so out of shape. I do live in New Jersey and trenton is the poorest part of new jersey. Its so ridiculously cheap to live there that it brings all the bad. you should have tried to live in the country of new jersey. not in the major city..... all the welfare collectors live there. monmouth county for instants in new jersey is an almost crime free area and not over crowded. your correct about me not knowing who tc is but i sure do know alot of people that bought things from him and still are waiting for them to ship. People having hardware issues and no customer service. The house I sold in Puerto rico had 100 acres. lived there for a year. The one thing that bothered me the most was at nite if there is a red light, you dont stop at them because someone could run up to your car and rob you. i had it done, only thing is he didnt get away cause i carried a bat.:3_nosthum

Re: NGM update

caguas 00000000000000000000000
well... maybe that explains it. Did you know that the caguas area (which includes Caguas, Gurabo, San Lorenzo, LAs Piedras, etc) are rated #1 in crime?

anyways.... Rueben actually lives in Cayey (next to Caguas) and TC might be there... should have moved to Morovis :3_bier:

soooo back on topic....

Re: NGM update

I have spent some time in puerto rico and did enjoy it a lot. I usually stayed @ isla verde. Great place with great food, people and night life. Carolina, Condado, Guaynabo are very nice and lets not talk about old san juan and the beaches, ponce is awesome too.

I really, really enjoyed Puerto Rico as a turist, only thing I disliked is that is very expensive, more so than Miami.

I believe there are good and bad places in every city or country , you just have to do your due diligence and take some common sense precaution and of course get advice from locals

Ps I have great memories of eating bacalaito and mofongo de camarones with a cold Medalla at pinones!

Re: NGM update

I've got a new setup in the works, and will be needing a 7.5" ring for my NGM modular lower pulley. The "toy box" shows it's available, so I'm going to put my money where my mouth is and order it soon. We'll see how it turns out.
