location: "Y" pipe

situation: air is coming from where the"y" pipe connects to the header (gasket area), is this considered a vacuum leak? can this throw a CEL? can this cause performance issue?

From what your describing that is considered an exhaust leak and it can cause both check engine lights and performance issues a weld shop shouldnt charge you much to seal it up.
