WhiteCani, a member here, has posted a nice thread about KDM rides here. He has been in Korea recently and this is what he wrote when asked if he could put us in contact with a local dealer :

Yes, it's not only that some parts are not available outside Korea, but also I find that parts that are being sold to us in north America, Europe and elsewhere in the world are OVER PRICED.
I was really surprised to see the prices of the parts in Korea.
For example, I've bought the following parts in Korea, all OEM Hyundai Mobis made.
-FL2 centre air vents
-FL2 inside door catch (gunmetal)
-FL2 inside door handle (gunmetal)
-FL2 6spd shift knob
-Tuscani lettering
-swaybar link X 2
-strut mount bearing
-cabin air filter
-shift boot
Total cost= $90.00:3_nosthum
So you get the idea how it is.
I think if we can get the parts directly from Korea it would be much cheaper, and I am working on it now.
So i'm posting that thread in order to :
- show WhiteCani how i / we support him in this. Go man !!!!! Give us access to those superb and rare parts !
- post pics of those rare Korean parts that we would like to get.

Personally i would love to get :

Those sideliners. They look so much better than the NIA, in my opinion... And certainly cheaper too.

Those F/L1 eyelids. It completly transforms the front look of the tib and makes it meaner.

Hey guys!
It is possible that I can help you guys to get the parts shipped out directly from Korea to your location, but it's not going to be easy and happen right away. I see two ways to do this, one is that I need to find a friend or family members that are willing to buy the parts and ship em to your location or I need to contact the sellers and ask em if they want to do international shippings. I'd prefer the second option because then it would be a straight transaction between the buyer and the seller. I really don't want to get involved when it comes to money issue. The most help I can give you guys is the language barrier problems.

The prices are crazy...

Could you post some pics of your sideliners ? Interior side in particular ?

Of course second option is the better. I hope it will work :)

I've personally bought those sideskirts and unmodified version of that front lip.
Now, wanna know the cost?
Sideskirts=$80.00
Front lip=$70.00 after $10.00 DC
Shipping= none since I brought em myself

The F/L1 eyelids were about $30.00~$40.00 from different seller, too bad that I did not have enough time to order those lids, I was damn busy with the nightlife in Korea (you can't even imagine how it is in there):3_bier:

i second the suggestion about those sideliners and eyelids.
interior parts would be awesome too.

these sidegills are available in China, UK, Australia, and Korea, so if you got relatives around there, they can probably help you buy them...but they are pretty expensive where i got mine (China), so i wouldn't get my hopes up for a low price

That's what my PM to him was regarding. Here's the response:

Hey, those lights are very hard to find even in Korea. Everyone wants em and they call em "raretem" which means a rare item. I've seen a couple of used ones being sold on a Korean Tuscani fourm, and they go really fast usually in a day or two. The used ones go for around $200.00~$250.00. I don't know if there's any other store that still sells em other than SFR and the price would be the same If you were to buy em in Korea from SFR.

i think the reason these parts are "overpriced" here is because you add in international shipping and customs tax to import all those pieces to the usa and than the importers "cut" on top of that. Even if the middle man was cut out and we buy straight from Korean the prices aren't going to be that cheap. I mean look at ebay'ers shipping parts from korean. But hopefully im wrong, i'd like a pair of those led tailights PRtibby posted!

no you do have a great point with that my studies are in international business and you are correct with why we pay much more then Korea for our parts, but this is actually a good way to cut down on what we pay either way, if we can get them shipped directly to us we aren't paying the extra premium that the US companies are charging us so they can make a profit, so as long as we can find a direct line to us i think everyone will be much happier. i cant wait to find out where this goes!

I want those eye liners so bad. And I have for a long time... Might have to get GK to make them for me...

I'm excited as well, but doubt it will go far. Keep in mind, someone has to do the work, and if they don't make any money for the work they do, why do it?

I've learned first hand how international ordering works. Not only do most require large orders, but shipping and customs/import fees kill you. I ordered $2,000 worth of plastic parts, paid $400 shipping and $200 import/customs fees. I still bought them for around 1/4 of the price per unit in the USA and have like 2000 units in my garage I'm getting ready to toss out.

Edit: oh.. and these parts were small, so $400 shipping isn't really a bad deal considering the quantity, but compared to a single bumper that cost $150 shipping.. it's going to be a lot worse.

well considering all of that if ppl who live near each other and feel comfortable enough to order parts with others, maybe bundeling orders together to make their large order requirements, it would make it easier, and cheaper for everyone, now it would be a little difficult to coordinate but after all its just a suggestion :3_pimatyo

can get the price on a F/L2 M&S Front Lip. Thanks

#32 ·
thanks so much whitecani for doin' this.

Thanks for the sideliners pics :3_pimatyo.

To know that there are korean forums where guys are exchanging useful infos and talking about parts that we have never seen here, and that we can't have access to this, is killing me...

Could you post links, please ? I know the automatic traduction will be horrible, but...
