This is a quick way to replace the AC blower switch without having to drop a couple hunderd bucks on the complete controller set.
This is also the way to fix the problem with your AC turning off when you switch the fan speed.
Tools you will need:
Phillips head screwdriver
Parts:
Replacement blower control switch
Hyundai part number
971133A000, SW6713 ( im not 100% on these part numbers, but i will verify with the dealer)
price - roughly $40
First lets start with the basic deconstruction phase....
Remove the radio surround bezel.
Most everyone who has this issue has taken off the bezel at least once, but just in case...
pop out the ash tray and place your fingers in the tray so that you can pop the bezel off, then pull...hard.
once that is popped off, unplug all of the cables.
remove the center control knob, for those of us with billet knobs this may require an Allen wrench or small screwdriver.
on the back side of the control you will see a small Phillips head screw, this will need to be taken off.
rotate the blower control and it should come right out.
reassemble with the new controller in exact opposite...tada.
**highly suggested to not unplug the controller again after you have reinstalled the new part. Multiple disconnect and reconnects are what messes up these switches. you can leave it plugged in by unscrewing the switch and taking off of the main controller, or you can take the main controller off the center facia with the 3 screws.
