It is opinion. I do like drag racing alot more than any other in this sport. Does it mean that your better than me? or that anyone who likes drifting, circuit or any other type is better than those who like drag?

sure, slapping on a turbo on a stock block +12 psi is highly modified :p

Give me a built block and maybe i can start saying i'm mid-highly modified. Then add some cams and a standalone and then I'm gona be highly modified
You with 20k on your block and a turbo charger are not the general population of tib owners. Not a lot of people are as brave as you are. Nor are they willing to risk their engines. I'm sure that goes the same for other car tuners. There are so who want to guarentee that their car is going to run 30+ runs down the track or races around the circuit without having to pray that something doesn't go wrong.

tsx and mustangs arent in the same category

tsx = 4 door sedan
stang = sports coupe

you cant compare they're prices with performance. Thats like comparing tibs with a dodge ram. Completely different categories.

And im not saying i'd take a higher end car if i had the $. Its just that i'd rather race a low end economic and beat those higher priced ones lol
But a viper is in the same category as an integra?

i know i'm not of the general tib owners but i think like most tuners when i say what i say.

where does the 20k come from lol? and what does that have to do with anything?

All im saying is... why would one build up a car if you weren't aiming to beat those who cost more? You think i turboed the tib to run only agains modified dsms/hatches and such?

Thats why stock racing is moot and IMO is an excuse

teg= 2 door import "sports" coupe
viper = 2 door domestic sports coupe

only difference is $. Viper obviously being way high end in terms of class, technology, looks, and parts.

but thats why its so nice to see a teg go up against one and win.

i guess i always want the underdog to win. Its not like you see that everyday.

Zaion's sig said:
441whp w/ stock internals... now over 20k boosted miles
That's where that came from...and it ties back with you not being the normal tib owner.

And it's fine to build up a car to beat ones you can't beat...but bringing in COST of the vehicle for either one, how much it cost, how much it didn't cost and what not, that's what I find irritating. Some people think that just because it costs more it's supposed to be sooo much better in performance. Yes, with some cars it's true...AMG benz's cost a bit more than their regular counterparts...fact? But simply saying, "i'm building my car to beat cars that cost more" is rediculous. It should be, "I'm gonna build my car so that it can beat cars which are FASTER, or HANDLE BETTER ON A CIRCUIT, or DRIFT better...etc.. (racing applications... ) By saying, "said car costs a bazillion dollars more so it has to be faster" is just naive...

teg= 2 door import "sports" coupe
viper = 2 door domestic sports coupe
the integra is an economy car man. Not a fake me out sports coupe. The viper is a sports car meant to compete with ferrari's, vettes, ford gt's...

the nissan 350z is not in the same league/class as a ferrari f360 modena because it has 2 doors...

If I had the money and time. I'd be risking built Delta's all day long without a care in the world. Some day........... I like being different by modding a car that IMO isn't so bad. To each their own. Never been a Ford fan but thats just me. Sometimes it's not about buying the most expensive thing or what everybody else is buying and making it faster. But buying something YOU like and doing what YOU want with it.

Precisely :) buy what you want and do with it as you like. And I too with money might have been turbo'ed by now...but meh, whaterya gonna do eh? :)

p.s. we're working on getting this to page 9 for ya.

Plus for those who say how weak V6 tiburons are I agree that they are in factory form. However simple bolt on mods open it up quite nicely and its a different car. Find a nice used stage 4 IM or get some nice reground cams and suddenly you have top end. You want SERIOUS power well just like any car you either spend a bunch up front to get it, or you spend a bunch to get it there. Either way your spending money. Plus with any car you start doubling hp numbers and more than you run the risk of things breaking. Which in turn causes even more money to be used. Tibs are not the best car out there of course and isn't the best in class but for cost, quality and potential its not bad at all IMO. People come in here and say well my stock block holds 400-600hp and wah wah wah but either way your running risk of things breaking and it costs money to get the car there. So if I want to spend my money on something I like and something that not everybody else has or recommends then so be it. MY CHOICE. Then if I want to go and dump money into and make it have more than enough power to have fun with and possibly kill myself and spread my body parts all over the road, than well I will be happy. People try tohave the FASTEST cars on the road, and prove themselves to the world. If thats what makes them hard then AWESOME. Bottom line is I respect cars and people that put real work, time and money into them, no matter what kind of car it is. But this fanboy **** ruins realities and makes for some great entertainment.

Would I turn down a 300-400whp or higher forced induction tib if I had the money to build one? NO. would I turn down a new Challenger, Camaro, or any factory high hp car? Well if I could afford one at the time after researching whats best for my situation than I would get it. If I then had the money to make that car have more Hp then ANYBODY would ever need than well I'm the type that would do it for ***** and giggles. We forget in the fog of being fanboys that as guys (and some girls) that we have the itch to make things better, faster, stronger no matter what kind of car it is. Again don't like Fords but would I give props to one that has been built? You bet your ***. Same goes with any other car. But the "my car is better than yours" because it makes my dick hard so I can go home and hump the hell out of my girlfriend or rub one out real quick is immature. Again not enough realities, too much pissing in each other's cereal for drama purposes.

lol wow. But could you imagine that being a valid excuse for owning a car...I know there's someone out there who would think that and say, "ya know...that's not half-assed bad"!!

But you're spot on with the fanboy thing. Can we sticky this??

Well I'd BRATHER get a Ford GT despite all the hideous recalls they had.

I can get the dick up just fine to hump the girl. I don't have to go around in life showing everybody who's boss with my car for that. But thats just me. If it was, man would I be out on the road having my way with all those silly geo metro guys that think they're fast:3_headsha

Due to countless grammar and spelling errors, the use of TSX to much and pointless posting I'm sorry to say that its back to the dog kennel with ya.

Man, the ricers are out in DROVES on this one... I didn't read much of anything after my last post of statistics burying the import lover in his own ignorance but from what I saw in the posts following that one it looks like you guys seem to be using the argument that "well if I can put 50k worth of mods into a civic and have it still be cheaper than a viper and beat the viper in a race, than the civic is clearly a better performance car than the viper" Riiiiiiight. Here's the problem(s) with that statement.

1) Not everyone has the time to install 50k worth of mods on their car
2) Every modification you do kills the factory warranty and makes the car less reliable since it wasn't designed to handle those mods/power whereas the viper was built for 500hp and has a warranty.

I can understand buying a cheaper import like an integra, civic or even a Tiburon because of monetary constraints and modifying it over time to make it faster. But modifying those cars is like a gateway drug kind of thing. It introduces you to speed and to modifications. It shouldn't become an obsession or lifelong passion. There's a time when you should go out to your garage and look at your turbocharged civic and say "damn, i think its about time i got something new, something that i dont have to spend my weekends modifying and dumping money into, something designed from the factory to go fast."

I'm not trying to change anyone's opinions here. To tell you the truth, I just want to hear the logic from the other side of the fence, and so far its exactly what I thought it would be; ignorant and illogical.

You are the last person that should be calling people ricers. I have read some of your questions and "informative" answers on here and it is OBVIOUS you have ZERO car knowledge whatsoever.

A perfect example to back up my statement about your MASSIVE knowledge of cars:

http://newtiburon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104927

I'm curious to know if I put 93 octane gas in my car and reset the ecu will I gain any horsepower? I know the engine is setup to run on 87 octane but modern day engine management computers are certainly capable of adapting to lower octane levels, you think it would adapt for higher levels and give me more oomph?

Your illogical attempt to be logical caused you to once again look stupid and full of no knowlegde at all making others see your true self as just another fanboy.
