My buddy's got this Audiobahn 1800watt amp 4 like $300. Its practically new, I have a memphis 1000w class d mono amp right now and it does just fine but this seems like a good deal. Should I take it? I think I heard audiobahns are good, aren't they?

I've had 2 audiobahn amps... and i liked them both. Sold one for more money that I paid for it, and the second one was stolen.

if the subs you have right now can handle that power then go fot it. although the memphis is a very good amp. So if you did go for it, how much do you want for the memphis? I might take it off your hands.

their amps are good.... speakers i think they suck, but for 300 for an 1800 watt amp.... i wouldnt think twice...

Audiobahn amps aren't priced badly. They are in circuit city and places like that, but I bought my 800W amps for 150 each.

well id say keep the memphis assuming its 1000 rms and not peak....the memphis will give you closer to the power it says and it wont drag on ur car to much. plus they are small. audiobahns stuff is to big i think

If that id the PRD1000.1 Memphis amp...I would pick that over audiobahn ANY day! the memphis amp runs 1000 Watts @ 1 ohm CONSTANT and peaks at like 1400. The audiobahn (depending on what model) is shaky @ 1 ohm and only runs like 800-900 constant. Read the revews on the amps befor you jump into it.

I use a PRD1000.1 in a 01 tracker that hits 145db with 2 10"s @ 1 ohm. I love memphis.and I hav the trophies to prove it. 14 and counting.

Well since I have used Audiobahn for over 4 years from back when they were finally getting out of the pawn shop business, I would say go with the Audiobahn Class-D 1800 watt amp. They are true 1800 watt mono block amps and will definately give you the power you are looking for. Yes the case is a bit bigger than the Memphis but are you going for looks and power or do you want something to stash and get decent results with. Memphis at 1000 watts is good and Audiobahn at 1800 watts is better. I guess the point here is that you are not truly comparing apples to apples rather apples to oranges. SPL=Audiobahn, SQ=Memphis.....

I've got two audiobahns. one 100 x 4 rms, 1,000 watt peak, and mono 800 rms, 1600 watt peak. Bothe with 3-way protection cicuitry, and fan cooled. No problem for 1 1/2 years. I think I paid $136 for the 4 ch, and $145 for the mono on ebay new.

WHat about JBL? Audison?

I love JBL.... i dont like their newer stuff such as amps, but their new speakers are fantastic. As for the old JBL amplifiers i think those are amzing, i hit 158 w/ 2 18" sub and 2 amps on for each amp at 400rms.... these models where the GTQ 400 , but thats old school.

As for audison i have never heard of them. so i cant say anything.
