i would be up for stoppin by for you to take measurements...always nice to meet a fellow toronto tib owner....also, would this just be a lighter pulley, or would the size change as well....? cuz if the size chjanges, then a new belt would once again be required....well let me know....

It would be stock size, so it doesn't chamnge the speed of the alternator. I'll make it the slightly smaller of the two stock sizes. i think they're 59 and 57mm, but i'll check before i make them. Here' a pic of a Saturn alternator pulley i make.

It looks like i might be able to pull the pulley off th alternator without taking the alternator off. I'm HOPING i can. That would make it the easiest alternator pulley install ever :D

well if you need me to stop by for measurements...let me know...as long as it is the same size as the stock alternator pulley i would be interested...

he dingle, if your looking for a cheaper way to get another 1 hp , how about a pressure wash at the car wash! lol j/k bub.

well i havnt really thought about it.. but if u make one where u gain more than 1 hp.. i'd be in. I dont need my alternator to work at 100% *compared to current* i'll be adding a second battery and 2 caps to my setup and shouldnt run into many problems.

It's not very good HP/$ but it's been requested by many people, which is why i was thinking of doing them.

They'd come in different colours like the other pulleys.

I still have some full size pulleys in stock, and lots of underdrives.

I just want a full set of pullies. I know the underdrive has barely any problem with the alternator output, but after the TSB from Hyundai and the problems with alternators, I just want the smaller pulley, or maybe a lil smaller so that it will be at or above normal output. THe main reason I want a full set of pullies, minus the underdrive is the fact that they are beautifully crafted and I want them to be seen, unlike the current crank pulley that is near invisible. Also, Im the type of person that is looing for each and every HP possible, so a full set would maximize my gains, which is a good thing

Im with Ron on this one. I too want all of them. How hard would it be for you to make the power steering one and the likes. Thanks.

A/C can't be done, it's got an integral clutch.

P/S can probably be done, i have to get another look at them.

Hyundai has a TSB out ight now about the pulley on the alternator. It seems they feel the stock pulley is too large in diam and it is causing the alternator to not put out enough juice. The fix is to install a smaller pulley. I would think you might want to check this situation out a little before you make an aftermarket alt pulley. Especially since a lot of guys buying this alt pulley mod may already have the underdrive pulley. Just my .02

P/S pulley would be really cool since it is right on top and you would be able to see it! Then after people's eyes are drawn to that, they would look down and see the crank and alternator pulley as well. It would make for a very nice looking engine compartment!

PS pulley would be great. Please make it just a shade smaller than stock though. I have "over-run" the power steering more than a few times when autoxing the Tib. Makes you get a little twitchy when you have a 180 deg turn with nothing but curb in front of you and the car's steering wheel doesn't want to turn as fast as you want it to.

Solo, you ever had this happen to you?

Yeah, i'm aware of the TSB from Hyundai on the alternator pulley, i was going ot make it the size of the new smaller one.

Cool I cant wait to hear about the PS one also. It looks pretty easy to do and for ohers to be able to get to it. If you can make both I'll diffenately be in. Thanks.
Removing/replacing the P/S pulley is REALLY easy! Probably would take a total of 10 minutes, start to finish.
