double checked everything. now the trans seems to be slipping just a little bit, especially going into the 4th gear. is this normal?

how many miles on the car? what year? ect...

Better yet, auto? What fluid did you use?

Did you unplug the battery? ECU is probably relearning itself and the shifts are sloppy (revs between shifts I'm guessing?). Drive it normal for a week, not hard, and it'll go back to normal.

ATF = Automatic Transmission Fluid...

no i didnt reset the ECU maybe thats it. I used SPIII . rest is really irrelevant it was running fine before. im sure it will be fine thanks!

IDK what spIII is....but you can only use the fluid from the dealer..otherwise i would give it about a week before it blows.

SP3, it's a type of ATF. It's the correct fluid for Hyundais.

the hyundai auto is tremendously picky about the fluid type. i would change to hyundai fluid, not generic sp3.

i got it from the hyundai dealer but it says mitsubishi diamond sp3. and to my knowledge there is no filter for automatic transmission on our car

The pan is on the side of the trans faceing front that has the filter in.
