STG IV upper Im installed

Well I got it done, Took a bit longer than it should have, I had to walk about 8 miles to autozone to get vacum caps. I didnt know that there was a difference between 03/04- 05/06, and had to cap the one vacume connecter. Already had the stock manifold ripped appart when I found this out. Got it done any way, I was very determined. The only thing I can say I dont like is how removing the stock manifold leavs so much hanging around that used to be attached to it, Im going to have to go back under the hood and do some tidying up this weekend to make all the wires and hoses that used to be attached a little neater. I have to say though it was definatly worth it, I took it onto the open highway heading west where traffic was minimal, and holy crap it was cool not losing power an the top end like before:3_winkthu I LIKE IT! LOL

Excellent! So you decided to run your stock TB?

Yes for now, I dont have the funds to mess around with getting tc to put the bigger flange on, ot get a BBTB right now. Also, Ill be needing a quote from you because Im debating on having you build me a custome turbo, or go with ngms for next years big project. So if you couls shoot me a cost quote and all the parts Ill need to get when you have the time it would be awsome duffer. Thanks in advance.

Yea there was definatly noticable difference, the exaust screams at the top and way more than before, And you feel the car pulling all the way till it shifts at redline. At idle you can just hear it sucking in a mass of air lol.

i would think that you can bore / port existing flange to 70mm if you need to...something that can be done at home...aluminum oxide grinding bit on drimel or drill + time=bigger holl :)

No the neck is 60mm too, cant port it, the neck has to bee cut from the air box, then the opening to the air box ported to 70mm, then a new neck and flange welded on. :(

did you get your IM from NGM or from someone on here? i'm really wantin one to put on when i install my cams but don't wanna pay that high of a price for some new ones
I got it used, also got my ngm stg 1 cams from a person who never installed them for 650 brand new:3_chubby:

That looks awesome and i bet its even better when you feel the power. Dam i cant wait till i get mine it has already been two months since i ordered it :2_frown:. But its okay at least i know when i get it im going to be that much happier.

Would you mind sharing what your SAFC2 tune with me after you tune with the stage 4? Are your cams in yet? I am running that minus cams and cant find a tune to save my life and no dynos in this lame state....
