you're calling me a highschool kid and yet you're the one acting like a juvenile, giving me the finger and using leet-speak like "a55hat". classy, that's all i can say. you totally "pwned" me dog. you're the champ of the internet, that much has been established. i'm ok with that though because that's your thing, but at least i've got an education.
your post was quite inciteful, thanks for your input. next time we want your worthless opinion we'll ask for it.

225/40 18 with dropzones 2" lower . I have about a 40-45 offset.

seems to rub when hitting medium sized bumps. it's not the fender though I think it's the wheel well. edited: when I turned in the drive last night the tire hit the driver's side fender. it's not hitting when turning on flat ground but turning into a sloped surface or bump is hitting.
Looks like springs have settled. I'm getting lots of bottom out at high speeds over bumps and hills. and the tires are rubbing when turning on bumps and inclines. I may get some 225/35 and see how they do. it'll be a rough ride.

and I don't see why someone has to say this thread has gaps. You can't put down applications that people haven't tried yet. that would be ricer magazine calculating. :3_wink: keep adding it is helpful to people.

Yea.. those dropzones.... do definitely that... DROP... I think they would make any setup rub/bottom out.

would this fit with it at stock height?

Wheel Size/Offset
ront-18x8 plus 30mm
rear-18x8.5 plus 33mm

Tire Size
front-225/45R18
rear 245/45R18
the front setup is probably too big in diameter and in width they will stick out past the fender. the rears are WAY too big in diameter but in width they will only stick out slightly farther than stock. these setup will look like a clown car if you could even manage to get them bolted on.

stick with 18's but use a 225/40 instead of 45. you can get a 7.5" wheel for that you don't need 8. run an offset of at least 40-45 you should be just fine on a stocker suspension. run the same size all around. wider rear just don't look good on FWD cars.

exactly.....you don't want those aspect ratios...run a 225/35 or 225/40 or even go with a 235/35 if you want a little more traction...probably shouldn't take it up to a 245 though (it gets harder to make it fit really well) even though people have doen it. (especially if you drop in the future) stay with the 7.5 wheel you dont' really need to go to an 8, but it wont really hurt........i would try a slightly higher offset than that....like +35 to +38

well sense everyone else seems to be in agreement that you re a douchebag, i find it hard to take you comments very seriously.....and i am not you "dog," and you arn't a thug so please stop talking like that...i happen to like the smilies, they get the point across with less typing. Now sense you can't seem to read, but claim you have a education and do "huge amounts of research," and claim to be older yet for some reason wer afraid to put you birthday in you profile, i suggest you either make something better (like everyone suggested) and leave this thread for the peole that have useful information, questions, and comments.

Thankyou

I can get a great deal on some buddy club 2 plus (17x7.5) at either +42 or +35 offsets. Bearing in mind that I dont plan on getting a widebody but I'd like to drop it 1.3/1.5 inches, I have a couple questions:

1) Which offset would look best? i think 42 since stock is 46 and i dont think 35 will fit without rubbing a LOT

2) what tire should I put on it.... the only part that is confusing me about the tire is the width....should I get a 215/45R/17 or a 225/45R/17 or something totally different?

TIA

PS - Thanks for your help and all your work on this thread. Some of us really appreciate it :3_nosthum

I would go 225/40 or even a 235/40 for more traction...and the 42 offset would be best.

My dad gave me snow rims and tires today. The rims are 17x8 and the tires are 215/55/17. Will they fit? If so, will the rubbing be that bad? I also have the wheel well lip shaved a little in the rear if that matters. Thanks

on stock height they should fit fine...tires are kinda tall, depending on the offset they could rub around hard turns alittle, (but a spacer would fix that) but i really doubt you will have any problem.

looks like I'm going to have to roll the fenders. It looks badass as hell this low but the rubout makes me cringe everytime I hear it. the bodyshop will do it for $50

See another very knowledgeable member bcware said that 17x7.5 +35 on 215/45/17 would be best as it should bring the tires flush with the fenders. However 225/40 will rub the fenders....hrmm.

Well I ordered the +35's @ $126 a piece I aint complaining :3_kwijl: We'll see how it goes, I might just have to use a skinnier tire. 235 woulda looked sooo sweet.
