Well I had alot of plans for the 07 tiburon I mean I already supercharged it, got new wheels, navigation system and was planning to buy ark coilovers/ v-doors/ an exhaust. But I feel like honestly the tiburon is a cancer to me like I'm going to wreck it I mean this is my second TIbby my first 06 was crushed in an accident. I only owe a few thousand left on the car. Do you think I should trade up to a 07 g35 coupe or a fully loaded new Z or just say f it and keep it.

How long have you had it? It's an '07 so it can't be more than a year. I think you are nuts. You will never get back what you put into it. But as far as getting a 350 or a G35, yeah, they are nice cars, but how much more will the insurance cost you?

Wait, let me get this right...

After all the work you did to your 07', you want to sell it because you think that you + Tiburon = cursed?

I honestly say that is the silliest thing I have ever heard! It depends what you want, as you will be driving it. I don't see how we on a forum can change your mind. If you have the money to afford a 350Z, or an 07 G35 Coupe, then you have 3 options. Pick the option you want...
1) Keep Tiburon
2) 07' G35 Coupe
3) Loaded 350Z

You will be driving whichever car around everyday, might as well have the one you want. If 90% of your replies say "Buy 350Z" but you actually are leaning towards the G35, I doubt for a second you will listen to the 90% and go buy the Z; because if you do - that's stupid

:D

Yeah dude, you are in a good spot to make money ...

You say you only have little left to pay on the Tib, so whats that mean? It'll be paid off in a year?

Keep it for a couple years, get the most out of it; enjoy it and then sell it off and get a new car a few years down the line.

A car, unless a lemon, I doubt curses a person X_X

OR,
Pay it off and keep it and run it to the ground; No car payment = Sweet!

well i meani had a 06 tiburon and that wastotaled. A few months with the 07 and someone hits it. I mean its not looking to well but I like the 07 because the looks and I want to make it the nicest/ fastest. IM starting to give up on the car because I feel like this car is targeted to be in accident after accident maybe I wasn't ment for this car.

Dude that is so weird... I bought my tib last year and within a couple of days a small rock comes flying off the road and chips my windscreen. Then my boss backs into the rear half of my car scratching the Shizzle outta it. Its quiet for a few more months then BOOM some hood rat wannabe g's smash the drivers side window and windshield....

And why didnt this happen when I had my old car???

If you honestly think that you dont want the car because it is inevitable that another accident is going to happen, then I guess for the peace of mind I would sell it. But if you were thinking logically, I dont think you should do it.

I will say the the G35 is a smooooth ride........compared to the Tib.

But...if you are changing the suspension and you've already supercharged it....then keep it.

Know why?

Tiburons are NOT a popular car.......and to me that speaks volumes. Be different. Enjoy your ride. Stay with Hyundai. Do you think you'll find a 350z or G35 community as caring and as loving as we are?

that's soo true hyundai community is teh friendliest and caring, and i'm not joking i've been on a lot of forums for myself, brother, friends stick to hyundai, and if anything drive the tib for a couple of years, wait till the 2009 350z comes that would be even sweeter, or wait till all the wrinkles of the g37 get worked out and you'll be set, it makes more sense IMO, think about it, you're gonna a 350/g35 now and in 4 months the g37 comes out and you'll be like damn. Then in a year and a half the 2009 350z comes and you'll want that, that way you've already driven the tib/enjoyed it and now time to move on, I know how you feel about it cursed my 06 elantra got hit the second day i bought it, in my visitor parking lot, so,etc trust me it's better that way, but it's your opinion and I'm sure everyone here will respect it.

Dude 20 years old w/ an '07 almost paid off and the option of getting a Z or G35...what do you do for a living? Or should i ask what your parents do? And i still havent seen any pics of your s/c tibby. I'd really like to see a pimped out '07. As far as your dilema...i guess the G35.

#12 ·
You should get the new G37 instead. The G35 is a fun car, don't get me wrong; but the new one has been revamped a little.

And insurance isn't all that different from the Tib, believe it or not. I actually think I am paying LESS for my G than for the Tib.

Lastly, there are loving communities of G and Z owners as well. Come by and research the cars a little over there before you decide. See what other drivers are saying....

Your 07 tiburon is not even 1 year old. If you knew you wanted to trade it in, you shouldve NOT have gotten the tiburon and gotten a 350z or g35 instead. Since you upgraded your tib to a good amount, i say drive safe and keep the tiburon.

#15 ·
i say keep it and save for another car in a couple years you will be able to possibly pay CASH for.....kinda retarded to trade in a car thats still brand new

#16 ·
3 Car magazines have said that new G37 is slower and less agile than the G35...I love how the G35 sounds and looks good. The 350 more performance though so it's what you want out of it.

#17 ·
i wouldn't mind selling the 07 cause i don't think it looks good at all. i dunno that's just my opinion. i dunno what it is about it though. look somewhere for a 03-06 model for a good price. take everything off the 07 and just put it on that generation. as for trade in if you do do it go with the Z.

#19 ·
Don't sell it dude! for god sake

#20 ·
what's the point of putting out more money for a newer car when you already have a lot of stuff in this one?

#21 ·
i bet if you get a 350z or G35 you'll still get in a fender bender and feel cursed...
maybe it is you...?

dont drive what everyone is driving....350z G35 yea they are great, ike every 4th car on the road is one, i dont even look anymore

or just say f it and keep it.
Yep, thats the one!

On another note here is my 2 cents worth. What you fear the most is what comes your way. Its that simple. If you think you are going to lose what you have (ie: someone hit your car) then its probably going to happen. Let me guess: you were paranoid as all get out about someone hitting your 07 Tib and then within a few months it happened?....right?

Thats what insurance is for and let it be at that. Personally, if I were going to get something other than a Tib it would be an RX-8. Hands down best value for the money and just a darn good car regardless of cost. But, I own a Tib cause I like 'em and thats good enough for me.

#26 ·
Dude you should really keep the Tib and see what they come out with later. I wouldn't mind an 09' Camaro.

#27 · (Edited)
I got to see the new camero in person yesterday at the Chevy RevItUp thing (and drive the new 08 Z06 on the course!)

There is a better idea. Sell the Tib. Get the Z. Give me the S/C your removed before you sold the tib! Please.
