Raycer94 thats good to hear because when i get the exhaust id get the mounts to be safe but, man if you knew how it felt in the Z24.........Im sure the quality of the two cars is a lot different. Hopefully ill have no problems. Could there be a difference between mounts on a manual as apposed to auto?

Wow i would have thought that they would have been bigger. Dont people suggest 2.5-3" for FI cars. I dont have FI but i would like to in the future. Are there any exhausts that are bigger?
There may be, but I don't know which ones. But I believe there is someone running RIPP with the Injen. And I know of someone running Alpine with the Borla (which is 2.25" from the cat to the axle and then 2" on the muffler section).

Thats exactly what i was thinking since i was thinking of going FI, should i get headers. You guys think a catback will sound good without the headers?

yeah, the car will sound ALOT better with a catback even if you haven't installed headers yet. I have the ark performance dual setup on there and it sounds great. I'm waiting to go turbo so I'm not going to get headers.

No I'm sayin the Injen SES (which i have) is 2.5
I measured it before I posted (I also have the SES). I too thought it was 2.5 but using a pipe gauge or whatever you call it, I discovered it is 2.25

I will check it again tomorrow AM just to be sure...hopefully the rain will be stopped over here by then.

I guess we'll call it 2.5" on the Injen SES. I tried double-checking with the gauge I have but it's hard cuz it's not large enough to fit over the pipe properly. But by eyeing it, I could tell it was a little more than 2.25 but still less than 2.5

So I got out a vinyl tape measure and measured the circumference of the piping. I measured 7.5 inches. Since d=C/pi, I found that the diameter of the piping was about 2.4 inches. Yes, I am a geek...sometimes.

OK sweet, thx for the update man. Actually i didnt mean to come off as though i was flat out stating you were wrong, i was at work when i was posting so i was trying to avoid my boss and contribute what i thought to be accurate.

Good to know! :3_winkthu

I have the Ripp headers and Injen catback, and also Ripp SC

Wont be able to dyno til week after next though, my car is at Ripp getting some goodies! :-D

I personally dont think headers are worth it. I have had headers on since may of 2005, and took em off just this week to pass inspections. You lose low end torque, but you gain a good amount of mid-top end hp. But when i had headers on, i was running sh!tty as hell because i was running rich mainly because i was catless and untuned, but thats the thing, if you have headers, then you need to get a fuel tuner and some dyno time. After all is said and done, you wouldnt have enough bang for what you spent. Just get a catback and if your going turbo, then spend the money to prepare. Buy things such as the stage 4 IM, and a bigger throttle body, and also i would work on suspension. Just my 2 cents.

Natibgt03 that is the exact route im thinking of going. The only problem is right now i have no idea what catback to get. I cant seem to get anyone to post any sound clips of their exhaust. Ive heard the bse, ark and dc sports so far. I still got a few more id like to hear.

I would recommend T.C's they're the ones i'll be getting soon
